The boomer obsession with high housing prices and housing as an asset is retarded. Maybe help Americans become wealthy in ways other than owning (read: paying a bank every month) a house. Even with lower interest rates, higher housing prices just means renting will be cheaper than paying a mortgage for an increasingly large number of people.

In what world do you think rent will be cheaper greed is the driving force. Rent should cover maintenance (mortgage/property taxes/repairs), utilities + 200$ per person living there. 100 per child.

They did do it in CA (and i think still are). If you'll remember, there was the whole thing about raising the national guard in LA and trump and newsom fighting over it.
Places like Texas you don't hear anything because Texas helps the feds. So theres no conflict to report on.

I suppose I should've worded that better by hubhub I meant the leftist agitators chimping out against ICE and rioting. I know we had that in CA for example like you said but it really didn't seem to be on the same level/energy as MN is. There were a few riots in LA and what have you but there didn't really seem to be this insanely well organized movement against ICE in CA.

I understand this thread is supposed to be a circlejerk, but this is the US politics general, and you guys are complaining about a guy coming in to talk about his dislike of the US president. Maybe ask the mods to rename it to the President Trump Appreciation general. If anyone engages in slapfighting (which is a term that shouldnt even apply to political arguments), it's the regulars of this thread that can not handle any differing opinions without losing their minds.

I by in large support ICE and I've been semi checked out of keeping engaged in the political scene but some things do strike out as odd to me. Why MN of all states? I would've assumed all this hubhub would happen in border state like CA, TX, AZ, or NM. I can only assume that it's a big game of chicken by the Trump admin and the MN state leadership. If the leaks are true and that the Lt. Governor is in these chats directing action against the feds I can only ask why this is occurring? And who leaked it? Why is MN acting out this way? Is it to distract from the new fraud allegations and to better keep hold of the state for the DNC by protecting somalis and illegals? I happen to recall some stuff with ballot harvesting and Omar back in like 2020 I wanna say?

Something I gotta say I don't like is the feds making the Fed panopticon even worse by adding in Palantir AI bullshit and fed databases for parallel construction. I'm sure all these things will at some point be used against the American people. I would much rather we remove illegals without having to make a spying apparatus that makes the Chinese blush.
