This is why there's no real reason to debate them if you're not trying to convince an undecided onlooker. You can just look at what they say when they think they're in good company and that will be about accurate to their position in all of its lunacy. They get passive aggressive and snarky when you point out they're full of shit and show them their own words. Unless you enjoy shitflinging for the sake of it there's nothing to really be gained.
Like it or not, a lot of MAGA's current success is because of Trump's charisma specifically. Come to think of it, the last decade of US politics has been centered around the guy, even when he was out of office. The will for right-populism is there, but the people who will see it through are rarer. It's very likely once Trump's gone that the base splits into Musk/Thiel globalist "based technocrats" and paleocon populists. Vance seems the most likely successor at current but there's still two years to see what happens.

The strangest part of this entire situation is I agree with you. The issue I have is with ICE being a bunch of badly-trained thugs who make this entire mission look bad. Every other day we see one of these agents taking the bait and killing someone. Regardless of whether you hate these protestors enough to believe they always deserve it, this is just an endless belt of ammunition for the Democrats to tell the public "Enough is enough, time to stop the killing!" which naturally appeals to barely-informed voters who don't have any information beyond people being shot in the streets. Then they neuter ICE, the mission fails and we're back to the same game of bribing niggers to vote Democrat.
I'm kind of surprised I didn't eat a threadban. The sad part is not all the TES regulars are insane and have legitimate criticisms, but they go fucking nuts and obsess about certain things to the point that any discussion about Trump is impossible. True, but this feels different somehow. Feels bigger, one party is going in the complete opposite direction of sane governance while the other meanders about what people actually want, while the general political climate is shifting heavily rightward.
Another reason for my party mitosis theory: The Dems are completely inflexible about infinite gibs for niggers and infinity immigrants. Eventually people are just going to stop working with them, and policy debate will shift to what specific right wing school of thought policy should be made under.
