Anyway, I've been watching this entire situation incredibly closely over the past four weeks at most due to having an unfortunate amount of free time on my hands over January. Now because Dear Leader won't let me create a new account because he is a gate keeping faggot. here I am to share my observations. A lot of this could be
completely wrong, completely irrelevant and if not utterly retarded.
So take it all with a grain of salt.
Now my first overall observations have been particularly focused on military air traffic in and out of the
UAE,
Israel, and some in
Jordan. Now the majority of air traffic I have observed has been particularly coming in and out of the
UAE, specifically
Al Dhafra Air Base. Now I'm not exactly well educated on military aircraft and perhaps someone else could clarify for me but the large majority have been many, many logistics aircraft (
Hercules,
Globemaster, and everything else inbetween.) and at my best guess troop transports perhaps? (The
Airbus A333 comes to mind in particular). But it's the countries that intrigue me the most overall. I've spotted
German,
French,
Italian,
British and of course
American military aircraft coming to and from that base nearly constantly over the past few weeks. A lot appear to turn their transponders off as soon as they get a 1/4 of the way over the
Persian Gulf and then once they are in the approach of
Al Dhafra, transponders come back on. I've also noticed a similar increase of air traffic back and fourth between
Israel and
Jordan primarily by the same countries as I had mentioned earlier so it does make me wonder if something much, much bigger than we are anticipating will happen. Perhaps a similar coalition to the one we saw during the
Afghanistan War which makes me wonder "
Boots on the ground in Iran?"
Again all of that could be completely and utterly wrong so take it with a grain of salt. It's nothing more than speculation. But a little observation I would like to also additionally share was that on the
25th of January I noticed a
Russian aircraft leaving presumably
Al Dhafra Air Base flying over Iranian territory.
Reg RA-86572, ILYUSHIN IL-62 that was flagged as
Military by the
adsbexchange. Perhaps it was nothing, but it did strike me as odd and another user a week prior I believe themselves also made mentions of a Russian aircraft but I was not successful finding mention of it in the thread. But I haven't much more to say about that or my primary observations so far, and again this is all but pure
speculation.
Now our most interesting friend in the sky, the
BOEING WC-135R (
the nuke sniffer) only just landed in the
UK at
RAF Mildenhall approximately at
12:15 PM (GMT UTC+0 or Bongland time) after it's departure from
Offutt Air Base (
Nebraska) that we saw overnight. Currently it's sharing the airfield with a
US Reg 59-1475 BOEING KC-135R/T Stratotanker. (as of writing this the
Stratotanker just turned off it's transponder at
7:19 AM EST UTC-5 or
(12:19 PM Bongland time). Now followed by another
Stratotanker Reg 59-1464 BOEING KC-135R/T Stratotanker as of
7:23am EST UTC-5 (
12:23pm in Bongland time)
But what made me feel compelled to share my observations was that as the nuke sniffer began it's approach to the
UK I noticed the shortwave channel
11175kHz at roughly
4:45 AM EST UTC-5 onwards light up like a Christmas tree with activity till at least
6:16 AM EST UTC-5 time. All transmissions in
NATO alphabet and all but nine transmissions, seven of I recorded. Related? maybe, coincidence? probably. But after they finished it's been dead air since and for all I know it could be normally scheduled transmissions.
Position roughly at
4:50 AM EST UTC-5 just after transmissions began
