There is a simple screening test for adults that is done to get a baseline on whether someone may be autistic or not. It's generally used to determine if a referral for a clinical screening is worthwhile. This screening tool is known as the Autism Spectrum Quotient.

I haven't found a particularly good, simple representation of the test online that produces worthwhile results, until recently. I came across the below linked version and thought it was a simple and well done presentation of the ASQ that produces results that are easy to understand.

Considering the concentration of autism on KF, both those officially and unofficially diagnosed, I figured it would be worthwhile to link to it here and people could give it a shot.

If you find that your score is over the threshold, especially if it is way above the threshold, it might be worthwhile asking your primary care physician if maybe a clinical screening may not be a bad idea. Remember, very mild autism in adults doesn't present how many people think of autism, hand flapping and having a meltdown over not taking the same route between work and home every day. It can be far more subtle.

Here are my results:

🤷

I can't remember dates or phone numbers if my life depended on it, which is apparently "attention switching and attention to detail." Often I can't even remember what day it is. However, it is correct in assessing I am a dummy client.
