I keep seeing this strange thought pattern that is conflating bringing a gun to a protest with bringing a gun to a 'protest' where you are impeding law enforcement.

There is a pattern of spin that always puts the person shot in the dindu position.
Michael Brown? Tried to grab a cops gun but the narrative was Hands up don't shoot this is a known lie that is still pushed.
Tamir Rice? Walking around brandishing a realistic toy gun. Gets shot because police and 911 communicated poorly. Still painted as Well he was out terrifying people but still a good boy.
Eric Garner? Selling cigarettes illegally. Possibly got into a physical confrontation. Resists arrest. Official cause of death was choke hold but he had a list of health issues and probably died of a heart attack. This is of course the birth of the I can't breathe meme as people tend to forget George Floyd was just copying another serial arrest resister.
Trayvon Martin? Thug who is staying with family to avoid the consequences of his actions ends up physically assaulting a member of the neighborhood watch who shoots him. Zimmerman, the shooter, is found not guilty but is still treated as though he was found guilty every day. Trayvon when even mentioned at this point is treated as a honor student who was shot between church sessions. I am pretty sure Martin is the first time people were shamed for not wanting sketchy looking people wandering through their neighborhood.

Pretti went to a protest armed. He brought multiple magazines for self-defense. He and his cohort started fucking with ICE. When he went too far and was going to be arrested he decided instead to reach for his weapon. The media take? He dindu nuffin!

Well he fucking did do somethin' and now he is dead. In five years no one is going to remember his fucking name. Like I had to actually look up Eric Garner and make sure Tamir Rice was the name.

I could list six or seven more of these cases where some moron does something stupid, gets killed, and the media uses it as an opportunity to cash-in, attack the man, and generally just be unethical faggots.

I do not even know what my point is here other than being so exhausted with this cycle that I just do not care what happens to them anymore. If someone flew a firefighting plane over at the coldest part of the night and dumped a few thousand gallons of water on these people I would just laugh and I doubt I would be alone.

They are colluding to obstruct federal agents. Openly. Publicly. Proudly. Not just in these signal chats, but literally out in the open, from Tim Walz all the way down. The whole fucking state's political apparatus is ordering police not to interfere with protesters, to not assist federal agents with lawful enforcement efforts, refusing to prosecute people referred for charges related to it and releasing even violent offenders as soon as they're arrested when possible.

How this hasn't triggered an Insurrection Act invocation already eludes me. The only explanation I've heard that makes any sense is that doing it prematurely risks legal trouble down the road and by avoiding it as long as possible it demoralizes the pricks because no matter what they do, the Big Guns aren't being deployed and they just get a couple of themselves shot each week when they're particularly stupid.

If I had my druthers I'd have active-duty Army rounding up every government official at the state and Minneapolis city level and putting bullets between their eyes, each and every one. They should be grateful I'm not in charge.

I would think (and hope) that the insurrection act is unnecessary, but it’s all dependent on how the rioters and their Minnesota government handlers choose to escalate. Even with all their obstruction efforts, they are failing to stop ICE and the other federal agents. At worst they are buying time for illegal immigrants, which is a waste since ICE already knows most of the who’s who. ICE pays its people well, gives them the support they need, and despite many injury incidents, is very well protected.

The only way the activists would truly push them out is through holding the area through violent means (killing agents essentially on sight,) but if they decide to do that, it’s GG, since that would make invocation of the insurrection act 100% air tight and justified.

Considering the Minnesota government is likely backing the rioters, such a thing would be the close in importance to that of the Civil War. Huge opportunity for them to Find Out, should they Fuck Around.
