I noticed that china doesnt seem to have any problems with ai. They don’t care. I wonder if the ai over hate is just a continuation of the climate change narrative, much how it was used to desptry nuclear power plants as a way to wether directly or indirectly make us more reliant on china
China's culturally resilient towards AI because they don't glorify the laptop caste as a cultural institution yet, they only ever chased it for the higher pay. Their laptop caste is expected to actually work, and fairly hard to boot, and isn't flooded with endless HR drones and clowns. The whole 996 behavior (9am to 9pm 6 days a week) started in their offices, not factories, because its easier to push people on "sit in a chair and type" mental work over steel mills, since deaths in the latter would have the party up your ass.

So to them, its a threat to a fairly new kind of work that's so heavily burdened that the idea of being able to offload any of it to a computer is a minor godsend for exhausted staff, who genuinely might prefer to return to the factory at this point. There's no individual unions to threaten or take action, just the single state mega union. The only real threat is that the available work is increasingly not in cities, and the Chinese youth are not nearly as keen to enter the factory as the older generations - but they're also the least politically influential, so they get to sit and spin. Meanwhile, the government is interested in trying to win the AI war, as much for ego as for any strategic advantage - they're not releasing high quality free open source models because of a strategic effort to dismantle american labor cohesion, they're doing it because it makes their little pinks super hard.

The Governor of Vermont, Republican Phil Scott, in a statement about yesterday’s shooting by agents with Border Patrol and Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Minneapolis, refers to recent federal immigration operations as a “deliberate federal intimidation and incitement of American citizens that's resulting in the murder of Americans.”

@Styxhexenhammer666 You should totally go full Jihad on Phil Scott since you are apparently "dying" :story:

I don't think Zion Don is going to cross the Rubicon if he's sending in the National Guard to wash protestor feet.
The President can take control of a states national guard under certain conditions

But normally it's up to the Governor of that state to activate and direct them. Trump wasn't the one who directed the Minnesota Guard to go and do any of this, it was Walz.

been ordered to distribute donuts, coffee and hot chocolate to anti-ice protestors.

30 million people need a boot on their necks to make things right again
>Hello, please show me the federally issued ID that you need to drive, have a job, rent an apartment, pay your taxes, sell things on e-bay, own property, get on a plane, set up an internet service, and often times attend sports events. You know the one that for the past 60 years everybody over the age of 16 has carried on them at all times in every corner of the western world without a single complaint.
>Thank you, oh cool my dad was born near Springfield.
>Have a nice day!
>No boot on neck

If I had to guess the administration is waiting for someone in the Minnesota cabal to do something supremely retarded that isn’t just speaking in front of cameras and not actually doing anything.

Like announce that they’ll be deploying the national guard to specifically impede ICE and other federal agencies (not just hand out coffee). That would be literal treason and sedition, then Trump and co can do whatever the fuck they want in Minnesota.

But that requires them to actually be that retarded. Given Tim “Turbotard” Walz is Governor it’s not impossible.

Thank you for attending my schizophrenic Ted talk :)

I don't think Zion Don is going to cross the Rubicon if he can't get his National Guard into Minnesota, and Walz is sending in his National Guard to wash protestor feet.

The President can only take control of the national guard of a state under specific conditions under 10 U.S.C. § 12406 and the Insurrection Act.

Foreign invasions, Rebellion and a state preventing federal law from being enforced are all instances where this can happen

Governors are the ones who generally control a states Guard, which is what's happening in Minnesota with Walz ordering the guard to act the way they are.

funnily enough the democratic parties incompetence is single-handedly fixing the problems we have from the government.

what do they want now to reduce spending by blocking funding? okay do it.
shut down the government? hell yeah.
minimize federal primacy? I'm there for it.

These idiots are so incompetent that somehow they've horseshoed into workable policy.
go democrats?

Yeah, I didn't say anything about people who move for a reason. For example, I know for a fact that the Democrats seek to make it easy for out-of-state college students to send in absentee ballots in their home states and vote in the state they're going to school. I am not sticking up for the integrity of the voting system more generally. I was just pointing out that when a death certificate is filed, there are a bunch of things that happen automatically, and removing the deceased from the voter rolls is one of them.
I'm only saying that because they've removed someone from the voter rolls, that doesn't mean they can't put them right back on. When the people who control the rolls are corrupt, they take the lists of people who have been removed and then go through those lists to see whose identity they can steal for purposes of committing voter fraud. One thing (automatic removal) does not preclude the other (falsely registering inactive voters to parking lots and abandoned properties).

Hear Will Scream
Scream Will Scream!

(nitter)
Nothing about that audio sounds diegetic, that sounds like voice over and the explosion doesn't sync up with anything on screen.

Also it's remarkable how many people who apparently fear for their lives continue the extremely un-instinctive pose of holding their phone upright and steady.

I think part of the reason zoomers are ditching the left is that having been baptized in phone culture and internet culture they notice retarded things like this that boomers don't even think about.

Laws suddenly matter? The Trump administration has been ignoring bad rulings by bad judges for a while now.

Notice now that they figured ICE doesn't give two shits about their fucking crotch goblins or the race of anyone, the whole "WHITE BODIES TO THE FRONT" and "YOU TEAR GASSED MY RETARDE FUCK DROPPING!" have all stopped.

That shit was always performative, acting like cops were actually racist and only interested in beating black people. Realistically cops are more willing to crack whitey's skull because they can't race bait.
The sanctuary city bullshit is what prevents them from being deported and prosecuted under federal law so I don't understand what she is trying to do here.

Just going to guess that she doesn't expect Walz to agree.
A purge of the democratic apparatus through severe prosecution of their corruption could in theory make the state much more cooperative in deporting criminals and finding fraud, no longer requiring ICE. Plus it's Pam, chances are she'd fail to make ICE leave like she does everything else.
