I did it when I sold my car a few months ago. I listed it for $400 higher than I paid for it, as I've found that's a sweet spot to haggle down from where the buyer feels like they're getting a good deal without growing suspicious about how much you're knocking off. Lo and behold, I sold a car for the exact same price I paid, despite it having an extra three years of wear on it.
Kids these days would never survive a flea market.

Learning to haggle and negotiate is arguably one of the most valuable skills in the modern world. For most consumers, it doesn't work because of set prices in stores, but when you're making five-figure plus purchases or investments, its a big deal. Ive secured and saved quite a bit haggling with people for used equipment.

If you're buying bread and milk or other off the shelf items, its generally not even and option, let alone the effort, but a used trailer, construction equipment, furniture? Property? Yeah you can haggle. You can't lowball like an jeet but purchase agreements can become a lot more fluid if you go back and forth and strike a deal.
