Weird. Kind of a tangent but as I once again watch American cities become no go zones I implore you to become armed. Jump through hoops, move, do whatever it takes to at least get something like a shotgun for home defense. There are many options out there. Pawn shops often have a cheap Remington, police departments often dump surplus Glocks or the like. Find a way even if it's 3d printed or a fucking hi point.

Lately I'm a big fan my Springfield echelon 4.0c for daily carry but I carried an M&P 9 for years. I've never once had to even reach for it, nor do I particularly desire to because it sounds like a lot of paperwork. I always thought optics were a gimmick on handguns, but I shoot better with the holosun and optics are getting smaller and smaller. My chances of needing it aren't very high but I have the option and that is what matters.

For a long range option I have an M&P 15 that I picked up with the M&P 9 years ago for cheap. There are many options and I think this one is less of a problem unless you run a forum full of trannies who want to kill you or something like that. I have others but this post isn't about my gun autism.

Things are looking up but there could definitely be turbulence so protect yourself and your loved ones in any capacity you can. Whatever you do get take to the range and shoot, take classes if you can, get snap caps and drill to practice.
