Investments like nuclear power stations, hydroelectric dams, and mineral refineries would seem to be out of reach without direct US government support. And it's hard to guess what the US government's involvement might look like since the administration hasn't revealed any post-annexation plans.

Had American men simply done nothing and been content with rule by the British crown, American women would have not been granted the right to vote, because women are too slow, weak, and cowardly to win a war.

Government power only comes to those who don't have it one of two ways. Either those who currently hold it grant it, or those who who don't have it take up arms and seize it. No female army has ever won a war.

Tl; dr: Constitutional voting amendments did not grant shit; they confirmed, clarified, and ensured that states could not restrict voting to certain populations based on not being a white land-owning male, and made that the law of the land. Women were no more "donated" that right than poor, property-less white men.

Amendments do not "clarify" the law. They establish it. A federal right to vote did not exist before the 19th amendment. This amendment, written and voted on by men, granted women the right to vote at the federal level. This law is furthermore enforced by men. I.e. if any state should bar women from voting, male federal troops will be sent in to force that state to comply and kill anyone who resists (the trigger pullers will, as always, be men).
