When does it become unlawful? When they are throwing bricks? When they are literally crashing their cars into ICE officers? I mean sure, stand on the side of the road by the detention center with you gay little posterboard you gay little protestor-cuck. When libtards and foreigners get in the way of lawful investigations and impede law enforcement officers, I say start BLASTIN'.

then its evident that the right for freedom of assembly has already in some way been given a limiting factor deemed acceptable.
The issue now is applying that limit which I feel was the crux of your point and one that everyone agrees with far more than adding on new limits:
enforce existing laws, quickly detain lawbreakers, and harshly punish those convicted of breaking the law.

I support free association in the sense that you should be able to work with only racist whites if you want to, but I genuinely don't care about the right to protest. I can't think of any good any protest has ever done, really. In theory, the idea is that it tells politicians what the people want; but our politicians are democratically elected every couple years anyway. There is really no need for the function. It's just a way for leftoid disruption of normal life to cover itself as constitutionally enshrined.

in any place that is nice to be, local law enforcement will move your ass along just because they don't like how you look. you want to hang out with your friends in the park? not if the local cop thinks you might make trouble. this is technically extremely unconstitutional but literally no one who isn't an idiot cares because if you don't run things this way you get Portland/SF/Minneapolis etc.

It's just so gross and apparent that these are not "protest". They are organized, demonstrated by their ability to stalk ICE officers and how quickly they accumulate. They are violent, as demonstrated by their willingness to use motor vehicles to obstruct, throwing objects like rocks, and shooting at officers (that texas shooting). These are not protests, and local government's not cooperating with the Feds or even obstructing them is fucking treason.
