💼 Careercow Donald J Trump - 45th/47th President of the USA, convicted felon, Epstein bro, Putin/Netanyahu simp, serial liar, sore loser, cheat and the Chris-Chan of Presidents. Lost a war to Iran and algae. THIS IS NOT USPG2.

This is pretty much any discussion these days here unless there’s a janny that cracks down hard on this.

I think back to this excellent post from someone who hasn’t been here in a while:
Well at least they stopped mentioning clinton or vaccines or voting democrat every time someone dies like it's the funniest joke ever

There's a thread up since 2021 about the covid vaccine where some sad retards still brag about not being prickled on the arm four years ago.
Imagine being such a nobody that one of your proudest accomplishments is not getting a vaccine five years ago. No wonder they want to live vicariously through Trump

Someone ask A&N what it's like watching their party become the lolcow of the world.

What was that, Jack?

Only a lolcow president could run on exposing the Deep State and then, through the sheer fact he managed to win reelection and then basically take a piss all over the country while every branch of government kind of just watches and says "hey man cut it out," expose that there actually never was a Deep State. And that the government of the most powerful nation in the history of the world has always just kind of been held together on an honor code and duct tape.

I'm conflicted about this. On the one hand, this is absolutely something Congress needed to authorize. On the other hand, I have no sympathy for Maduro.
This is absolutely where I'm at. Maduro needed to go, but this can only really be described as large scale vigilante action.

It's extremely fortunate that it seems to have gone well (so far), but it does irk me to see people attribute the success to Trump and not the actual adults running the planning and strategy. I live in an area with a lot of Venezuelan immigrants and have had multiple tell me that they've been hoping something like this would happen and Trump getting that credit is just so annoying.

Even Rubio seems to be feeling it, this is a defining moment of his career and he's getting overshadowed by a senile diaper shitter. He has to remind people on social media that he does work.

Getting a spot in this administration was truly a monkey's paw wish for him.

i may be getting them mixed up. Someone i know has seasonal tickets to the local theater so she sees all the traveling ones. I always see the adverts for Shen Yun and may have attributed the story of Madame Butterfly.
Late and autistic, but you were more or less correct.

Madame Butterfly is about a Japanese woman who marries an American soldier after WWII against the advice of all her friends and family. She becomes pregnant and then he has to go back to America and she faithfully waits for his return for years. When he finally comes back it's with his American wife (to whom he was married the entire time) and with the purpose of leaving her and taking their son back with him to America. She kills herself and that's the end. It was written by an Italian man, of all people.

This kind of tragic archetype is pretty evergreen.

Trump is the Edison of Presidents. He's only there to slap his name on everything and take credit for anything good that happens.

Eh, it's more like Trump got co-opted by the Deep State. Campaigns on revealing the Epstein files. Next year, nothing to see here! Campaigns on not starting new wars, starts two of them and continues a third. Not that it excuses him; he is responsible for his choices and that goes double for MAGA as a whole because they aren't 75.

Let's suppose that Trump kicks the bucket for one too many burgers + aspirins.
Will JD Vance fuck everything up even more? Will he try to actually fix the country?
In fairness, that $37 trillion debt bubble can't be fixed by honest means. The death of the Petrodollar made dollars less useful at buying resources and the Biden administration did drain the strategic oil reserve, which is why America conquered Venezuela. The result is the US needs to consolidate its sphere of influence now to maintain its status as a great power, so it needs lots of hard resources. This is true regardless of who is president. The consequence is that it makes the US as a whole incapable of diplomacy because Trump does act like Colonel Green where he'll invite someone, like Iran, to negotiations and then attack them.

That isn't really fair. Edison did slap his name on everything and take some unearned credit, but he often worked over 100 hours a week and did most of his own research. For instance, inventing the Edison bulb involved going through 5000+ substances just to find a filament that would actually work and not blow out in a few minutes.

it's not the place of the united states to go into other countries and fuck with their shit. we're not the world police, and what we're doing with venezuela isn't 'spreading democracy', it's called 'stealing their resources and leaving them with nothing'. maduro isn't a good guy. neither was bin laden. neither was saddam hussein. but nothing got better when we got rid of them, all we ended up with was an extended occupation of a fucking sandbox for over a decade.

the entire world is not the united state's backyard and although miggers initially were against going to war with other countries because 'america first', it's interesting how they changed their tune as soon as 'their guy(tm)' decided it was okay to go into another country, kidnap their president, all without any congressional oversight.

wonder how they would've reacted if a democrat did that...

Im skeptical of everything from a right or left wing journoscum. They pull shit like that fake planned parenthood video or the Haitians eating the dogs.

But on the flip side, nobody likes Somalis or Haitians being dumped in their neighborhoods and Trump manufactures excuses because he can’t just say “I hate niggers” yet.

I certainly don't think it's any kind of a stretch to say Maduro needed to go but this was the absolute worst way to do it. I would dare say that's what most non insane people think.
What's the better alternatives then? Sanctions just cripple infrastructure and make the nation less stable. Leaving them be has just made the chavistas rob the country and cause a refugee crisis that affects all of Latin and north America. Maduro tried making a bargain where he'll sell oil to america in return for the US fixing two decades of neglect, but with no guarantee they won't just go back on their word and sell to the highest bidder.
A land invasion would be a big no no.
Do you really want Bay of Pigs 2?
Arresting the president with 0 US casualties and likely low collateral has zero downsides.
Worst case the VP changes nothing from Maduro's policies but you've removed the heir of Chavez and there's now going to be a internal struggle among the chavistas until we see what happens next election.
Best case the government gets that there's nothing stopping a second raid, and gets around to playing ball.

International consensus is a good start.

Maybe someone needed to go in and forcibly remove Maduro, it's very possible. But it was not our unilateral decision to make.
The international community can't agree on anything, half of them were profiting from the actions of the chavistas.
I'm guessing what you're asking for is for all of NATO to approve. Which again, is going to lead to the same problem, the org is too big at this point.
The scandies and the French won't agree because it's rude. Nations like Turkey were outright chummy with the chavistas.

They stole our refinery assets and then, being commie idiots, basically burned their entire infrastructure to the ground. They have a hugely valuable asset but can't be bothered to maintain refineries, which is why they can't actually sell finished products and have to export their oil to be processed by actually competent nations, losing much of the profit by so doing.

That would have given advance notice, and then, it would have been impossible to do it as a relatively bloodless operation. It would have required mass death to get rid of him if he bunkered up.

Why they want to make a deal where the US fixes shit in exchange for oil, but like I said, that's a one sided deal when Maduro will still control everything and can just take full control whenever again
