Shit like this lends credence to the churroing being a multi-faceted move. Few Leafs truly understand the vast majority of our extracted oil is refined in the US (>80%) and is also the same type which Venezuela has even more of than ourselves. It's not as cheap or efficient moving that product over the Caribbean as it is via pipelines from Fort McMurray, but it's enough to give the US price control tools on the same level as OPEC+.

Ignoring the geopolitical fallout this economically is going to yield some very entertaining realizations on the part of Russia, OPEC, and Canada within the next few months.

This was the beginning of America's imperialist wars against the whole of South America, and if we're smart the beginning of a global alliance against the US. South American countries need to rapidly militarize and form alliances with China and the EU, while forming an alliance of their own. There is also an added and simple conclusion - acquiring nuclear weapons is the only path for any country that wishes to remain sovereign. And once again - Canada and Greenland will be invaded. So will all South American countries. The world war is near again, and it's the world against America. That's what WW3 will be about.

Ukraine receives a good ammount of NATO gear, because we can actually spare it and will replace it. And Ukrainians also learn to operate it to some degree. What have the Iranians and Venezuelans achieved with Russian gear?

This is actually not the shade you thought it would be against the west. We can actually support Ukraine, and they can manage against Russia with merely our equipment and financial support. Yes, Russia is still graining ground but minimally, and taking much more casualities. The idea that you think they can support a nation against the Roosevelt Corollary to the Monroe Doctrine, is very disconnected from the logistical reality. My point was that the level of support Ukraine gets from NATO is vastly lower than the one Venezuela got, and Ukrainian Armed Forces are not only far more well equiped and disciplined (in spite of their massive shortcomings with corruption and questionable pratices relating to mobilization) than the Venezuelan one, but also way bigger and more experienced.
