Russian Anti-Air is shit, Wagner Bodyguards for Maduro were shit, and overall seem like a complete failure from Venezuela in terms of Resistance. Now the question is, will this actually fix anything? At the end of the day, the drugs will still be imported from India, and that will not change, and even with the Oil from Venezuela, the price is so low it will not affect anything. Now we can hope this works out, but I think this is far from the end, and in a few years it will be back to being a Chinese puppet state.

Buddy I think only anti-trump people are going to seethe. I don't think anybody else, and so far no one else has, is going to say a bad thing about this because everybody kind of agrees on it. Especially since it went so swimmingly. And I don't think the normal rules are going to apply to a lot of situations coming up.

It's more likely the inverse actually. There wasn't a lot of support on the build up to this event over the past month, and it was generally understood that the Trump government had ulterior motives. If anything, it's people who are devoutly Trump that will accept this. Even in this thread and on /pol/, the case in support of this strike is "Get dem commies!" which is, comically, rhetoric you'd expect in 2003 heading into Iraq but replace commies with terrorists.

The only point in his favor is how swimmingly the operation went, but that's going to be short term gain from flip-flop grifters like Fuentes, and won't matter in the months ahead. It will be used retrospectively as an example of Trump being no different from Bush on foreign policy.

It's going to be interesting to see how things play out, and we'll see if Republicans fumble the ball again. Trump and the Republicans don't own the right, and if they annoy the base, they'll just stay home.

Their argument will no doubt be that they can extradite for crimes committed within the united states by actors outside the united states. Maduro profited from the drug trade into the US, and presumably from smuggling weapons as well, by giving official sanction to cartel activity within the borders of his country. That makes him directly responsible for criminal acts within the US. The only two problems they had were the fact that Venezuela has no extradition treaty with the US, and it's generally not done to arrest a leader of a foreign nation in peacetime. The US decided to solve this the way it always does: big explosions.

Well, if they stay loyal (to Maduro), the future is really bad for them. If they convert—there’s a conversion factor—I would say most of them have converted. He’s had very little loyalty.

In fact, I noticed today that some people are marching in the streets waving flags, and they’re very supportive. They have American flags being waved on the streets.
