I don't think most sane people understand how bad true Islam views non-believers. They permit and encourage any kind of sin against them if it's in the service of their long term destruction. Lying is a moral right when it comes to non believers and everything is permitted. Its bad enough that it's considered a sin to be charitable to anybody who's not a Muslim. Let me say again, nothing is a sin if it's done against a non Muslim. Slaves that believe in Islam literally have more rights then a non Muslim.
Let me put it this way. You have no rights in a Muslim state as another religion. You have no vote, no liberty, no anonymity, and no one to appeal to. If a random Muslim on the street shanks you, he will not be punished, and you will be if you defend yourself. Your only value of worth is the amount of money you pay a dictator to permit your existence. Which can be ended at any time and place for any petty reason. He will not care much if his men kill you against his wishes. Not enough to punish them at any rate.

He'd attach it to RC cars, trains, the sewer system, all kinds of loony toons shit and the cops could never catch him. ( At one point a cop slipped on fucking leaves and he outran them on foot.) He apparently wanted the money to start a legit business and was pissed they kept giving him fake bills.
He was notable for taking great care not to kill anyone. So much so he became a folk hero. (They made a rap song out of his recorded ransom demands) Some people did get hurt, but to his credit he was careful enough that even at his most unhinged moments he kept the bombs at a low yield. Nobody got serious injuries to my knowledge.
It took 6 years and 20 million dollars for the cops to finally get him. (And they only got him because they pulled a psychoanalyst chick with experience in catching serial killers to profile him). He got out of jail 6 years later and became famous.
