Sadly the B83 is on life support. In 2022 biden pushed retiring it and it seems the plan is still in place once the B61-12 is fully online. I don't think that is correct. The B1 was still standing ground alert in the 1990's, and I think they still do. B-52's on the other hand, haven't had a nuclear mission since the mid 1990's at the latest. They might still be "nuclear capable" on a piece of paper somewhere though.
The B-83 also lacks a guidance system, and nobody wants to invest money into developing one when the B-61 already has that shit built in and can still make a ton of bang.
