correct, the chink fabricators are far worse than these, and no matter how many dozens of bullshit 'chip makers' there eare in mainland china, they'll always use that to steal designs, steal patents, and steal ideas.
sometimes, it's worth paying more for a better product that your competitors don't IMMEDIATELY gain all the intellectual work you did on, and know for sure where all the pieces are. if you're gonna doom at least do it realistically, the taiwan manufactures are amazing but they're not chinese, they're not massive in comparison to the dogshit manufacture that mainland china has, and they're also not filled with IP theft.
the only argument you're making here is that it's not enough, and of course it's not enough. it's only the beginning, no one is ready to say we won because one company is opening a chip fab here. but one company opening a chip fab here, and then another, and at the same time moving their fabrication out of China (as apple is doing, moving it to the wiping hand nation) it doesn't spell good news for the chinese century.
when the chinese talk about how their buildings are all 100% chinese-made, no one thinks that's a good thing. the chinks are NOTORIOUS for being easy to bribe, happy to lie, and willing to take money knowing it will result in hundreds of deaths and the loss of public izzat, so long as their private izzat remains in-tact.
