You act like we don't have ~3700 nuclear weapons. They rebuild it, nuke it again. I'm all for religious freedom, but not when one of the tenets of your religion is killing all of the non-believers.
Hell, the CCP would probably lend us a hand, and so would the Russians. Governments in both of those countries have had to deal with Muslim violence too.

In fact, ISIS has been expanding in Nigeria at the expense of Boko Haram for years now. The latter's infamous old leader, Abubakar Shekau, killed himself back in 2021 in response to getting owned harder by ISIS than his ancestors ever were by slavers from rival tribes. (They're both tar-black nigger Mohammedans though, the ISIS-BH conflict is more like the ISIS-AQ conflict in Syria, except ISIS is winning and BH no longer has an Ahmed al-Sharaa equivalent, if they ever did to begin with.) Also Nigeria is only one of several theaters where ISIS' African branch has been actively expanding, they've been kicking both indigenous nigger and Russian mercenary ass across the Sahel these past couple years.

We have kind of accepted, since Jimmy Carter and Reagan, accelerating up to today, that hostile acts of war are not the same as declarations of war. More recently, drone strikes approved by Obama.

Bombing isn't a bad idea, but the conditions that created such lawlessness will remain unless the Nigerian government make serious efforts to fix the greater problem. It's all moot if the Nigerian government does nothing to secure the greater region and its people from being killed, abducted, raped, enslaved, and more by whichever thugs move in next.
The government's control over these places is weak at best, and the part nobody is speaking outloud is that Nigeria's leadership doesn't have plans to actually fix it, because doing so would likely provoke great civil unrest, if not a civil war. I am extremely curious about what kind of diplomatic pressure the US is applying behind the scenes, carrot or the stick is applicable here. That's the most fascinating thing about all of this, what's going on behind the scenes and what sort of leverage would US envoys or DT choose to invoke to get results? Lot of tools available, and as interesting as it is, bombing mudslimes isn't the only one being used.
