Dreadnought isn't so much a class itself as it is a type of battleship. After the HMS Dreadnought with its all big gun design with other improvements basically rendered all prior classes of battleships obsolete. All battleships designed after this would be considered dreadnought type battleships. I'm fairly certain they were still referred to as battleship class ships.

Dreadnoughts in US context would be something like USS Texas. That is a very classic example. Slow, fuck loads of guns, and around 30-40,000 tons.
The uniform main battery of guns (simplified range finding because you can be more reasonably sure which splashes came from which caliber of gun) and steam turbines driving the propulsion (sanic.png) were gamechangers in naval warfare and it started a naval arms race.
The Standard Class were denigrated hard but they were great ships when taken in totality IMO. The New York and New Mexico classes in particular were better than some make them out to be. Firepower has a way of making its presence known more than gunnery finesse.
The irony in all this is that they talk about class and being human but goes out of their way to dehumanize him with little irony into what they're crying about.

A lot of those pre treaty and post treaty ships were good, they just had shortcomings nerds sperg about because it isn't perfect. They were good ships of the line and served valiantly.
