The House of Representatives passed the Kayla Hamilton Act.

Kayla Hamilton was brutally raped and murdered by an MS-13 illegal alien gang member.

The bill honors her and required vetting of migrant children and background checks of sponsors to protect migrant children.

DNA evidence collected from Hamilton's clothing led to a teenage El Salvadorian national named Walter Javier Martinez, whose identity remained under seal until court proceedings.
