MacKenzie Scott Donates $7.2 Billion in Latest Giving Spree - Bezos' ex-wife continues to give money to corrupt NGOs at an exorbitant and unsustainable rate.

Billionaire philanthropist MacKenzie Scott donated $7.2 billion this year in her biggest ever giving announcement.

The gifts bring her total philanthropy to $26 billion over the past half decade.

Scott, 55, who was married to Amazon.com Inc. co-founder Jeff Bezos until 2019, made the latest contributions to 186 organizations around the world, including universities, environmental nonprofits and groups fighting for equality.

Scott’s net worth stands at almost $40 billion, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, largely stemming from her stake in Amazon. Earlier this year, a filing showed that she had reduced her holding in the online retailer by $12.6 billion.

Since her split from Bezos, Scott has become one of the most prolific philanthropists in history. Her giving is characterized by large gifts to small or otherwise overlooked nonprofits. Unlike some other billionaire donors, her donations come with few strings attached, giving recipients the chance to use the money as they see fit.

Scott has donated to more than 2,700 organizations since she started her philanthropic project several years ago. The latest list includes many groups that already received gifts in the past.

For example, Camfed International, or the Campaign for Female Education, which helps get girls in rural Africa into schools, received contributions in 2020, 2023, 2024 and in this latest round. Altogether, her gifts to the nonprofit exceed $105 million.

Other repeat recipients include Upstream USA, Blue Meridian Partners and Restore Local, which work on health care, social mobility and land restoration, respectively.

Scott’s announcements are frequently accompanied by essays. This year she wrote about a prophecy written by Hopi elders. “It encourages us to recognize and celebrate our role as active participants in the co-creation of our communities,” she said.

This looks like a money laundering operation of sorts. Literally no solutions to anything, just a bunch of woke speak. On one page, they say they are investing "100 million into one project," yet they don't mention the project or anything about it. They make it sound like they are going to be investing in many different "leaders," but at 100M a pop, this is fantasy speak. My guess is the 100M is going to a "genius" relative of the owner. This is BLM on steroids lol. Their other investments are donations to other nonprofit organizations. It's all just one big grift.

Reads like some white woman's fanfic for helping black people. It could be legit but I doubt it's accomplishing much. A case of putting a Band-Aid on a festering wound. The wound will reappear when the aid dries up. The creation of nations by European powers that separated long-standing social groups and forced the shards to share space with hostile groups was doomed from the start, AND done on purpose. The "help" we give now is constantly undercut by the resources we suck out of those countries at the same time. Which again is all by design. A few good actors here and there merely provide cover needed for all the other graft and exploitation occurring.

This number is massive, showing the scale of the grift. I ripped it from her utterly vapid article about the fucking starlings' murmurations and how great she thinks it would be if society worked with no one knowing where it's heading. It shows a complete lack of critical thinking and awareness of how human society works. Even if no one knows where society will end up, groups are pushing and pulling at it, trying to make things go the way they want. This could even be happening in murmurations, but we cannot detect it. It's another case of applying human logic and meaning to something that one doesn't understand.

BTW, the "Hopi elder" wrote the prophecy in 2000. It's not some ancient Native American wisdom she's banking on. It's a 21st-century grifter.

TL;DR: This is an extremely unserious woman who considers herself extremely serious and is being fleeced by a multitude of fake charities.

I have no idea, I know zero about the lady. Being ultra rich does actually involve a fairly large amount of hassle and you have to have a lot of interest in wanting to continue to be that level of wealthy to do it. Maybe she’d rather just give up the ‘more money than God’ level of wealth and just have ‘more money than I will ever need’.
