I will say, and mind you, I have only met one Somalian, former coworker, woman; I've never fully understood the anti-Somali thing. At least no worse than other immigrants.
Interacting with her, I really got nothing negative to say, she's a Muslim, but I don't think a very strongly adherent one because I saw her at the bar one night. There was an instance where the company bought us some pizza on a busy night, and she was asking what varieties there were because she can't eat pepperoni (pork), I was expecting it to turn into a big whoop-de-doo about halal food, but she was just like "Ah, it's fine I'll just pick it off".
At least in my own personal experience, I haven't got any special prejudice against Somalis, might be because I've never been to one of their enclaves. Pakis, however, can't stand em. The most stuck-up, self-righteous, rude, and slimy people you'll ever meet. Especially the ones with any modicum of power, they will try to guilt trip you, harass you, blackmail you, do whatever they can to use their resources against you, they're fine with selling drugs and alcohol, which they would never consume. Many of the younger ones actually do shit-tons of drugs, while also claiming to be devout Muslims. They are often caught embezzling money, or for medical malpractice. I would trust an Indian before a Paki.
