Totally understand what you're saying but you still have to look at an immigration moratorium even just for Trump's term as a gigantic victory.
Yeah I get that they pop out babies faster than Caucasians do because we actually think ahead, but if we close Pandora's legs even for 4 years it gives us a really good head start.
Think about how many came over just in the 4 years with Biden. How many do you think would have came over with Kamala? Think about all those people that would have come over if she was president all having nine babies apiece on the government tit. That's not happening now and it's a good thing.
We can tackle our reproduction problem when we get there, but for now it's just good that we applied pressure to the wound.
We do not have an immigration moratorium though, not even close. We have a partial, temporary refugee restriction. We still hand out visas, green cards, and citizenship like candy to any darkie who can fill out a form or is able to shit out an anchor baby, and we still give them trillions in welfare as a reward for being worse than worthless. People massively overstate what Trump is doing to make him seem much more successful and influential than he has been so far. Sure, I am mostly happy with the steps his administration has taken in regards to importing infinity browns, but it isn't anywhere near close enough to what we would need to even begin fixing this problem, and it is increasingly seeming to be too little, too late. To maintain your metaphor, this is like pushing a few paper towels onto a severed artery and giving the victim a pep talk; we need a tourniquet and an airlift to the nearest hospital.

I can accept that Trump is a better alternative than Harris without pretending that he is doing more than he is, or that his moves are more successful than they are. As I have said before, I did not vote for Trump for him to try his best. I voted for results. As it stands right now, every single thing Trump has accomplished could and would be undone in a single month the moment he is out of office.

Ok tomato, taPartial. Be happy they're not flooding in at 2021 levels and breeding like rabbits right now is what I'm saying.

It's a good first step, but that's all it is. While I am relieved that the guy pouring gasoline onto my burning house has had to run to the gas station to fill back up, I will be a lot happier when the house isn't burning anymore.

Better than the methods they use in Africa, which is still mercury based for the most part. I think the gold and mercury react and create an alloy and then the gold is extracted out of that. Either way, I'm not worried. All the same worries and arguments I've been hearing and reading could be interchanged with nuclear power plants and wind turbines. Who knows, maybe Lithium will become obsolete in five years time making it all mute.
What were they using in Zambia?

I hate to break it to you but I don't think the Republicans are ever going to win another election again. There is 0 energy among the right wing in this country and they simply aren't doing enough (or anything at all) to get people to vote for them.
This seems similar to how they said the polls showed that Trump was going to lose 2024.

Absolutely but for me any step in the right direction is doing good work, and I am still confident that we're going to get immigration realistically down to 5% of what it was.

That's just registration though. I've been a registered democrat my entire voting career just so I could primary the most unpopular mother fucker and to mess up their polling statistics.
I know for a fact that there are a lot of people who do that. Plus it's only 2024. You know that Republicans tend to only vote in the big one every 4 years.

At least you're not a doomer. I know you're one of the neo-barbarians getting ready for TND.

Freezing cold, wet and slippery. The illegals are from hot shitholes and can't stand weather below 70 so they're all huddled up inside now. Antifa fags at the ICE facilities are gone so it's easier to get in and out of the buildings. Flash mobs might still form to fuck with any raid but they're all comprised of old women so they'll die when they slip and fall.
This can't be overstated. Protesters are the ultimate "fair-weather friends." It is substantially more expensive and difficult to orchestrate a "totally-legit grassroots protest" anywhere it's even mildly uncomfortable outdoors. It's rather like baseball -- protests are canceled on account of rain or snow all the time. As it turns out, when people are just being paid to protest and their hearts really aren't in it, they puss out unless you pour some major money into the pot.

Only people who genuinely care will endure nasty conditions, and as it turns out, most people don't actually give a shit about the latest liberal cause du jour (which is why the Canadian truckers strike scared the living shit out of their government -- it was real, and you knew they all meant it because they were out there in nasty conditions still protesting).

Judicial worshipping is very tiring.
All that chatter about "loyalty" to this or that and yet not a single mention of "loyalty to the Constitution." So disappointing.

This is the boomer version of the breakfast question.

"Why corrupt megacorporation good?"
"Because money durr"

private equity isn't even a particularly good investment tbh, i think PE funds generally underperform the market and also engage in some questionable financial practices at their investors expense.
the only real beneficiaries of PE firms seem to be the people employed by PE firms

Most of the political right are slaves to big business and/or Israel, so they just can't give the base what it wants, which is to put America first. They sort of resent even having to pretend to do that. If they could just call themselves the GDP and Zion party they'd be a lot happier.

I think Trump is doing a good job actually.
compared to the alternatives, and compared to any other president of the last 50 years, he's doing an incredibly good job. he's doing so much more than i expected, it still feels kinda unreal sometimes.

sadly, compared to what would actually need to be done to get america back on track, i fear that he's still not doing enough. sounds harsh but that's how deep in the hole i think america really is.
