Hi. I didn't see this term mentioned in the thread, so I wanted to share this all with you. It's about Izzat. Some posts have mentioned 'saving face', which is Izzat, but I wanted to elaborate on it.

Izzat has no direct translation into English. We only have terms that can broach the same concept such as 'honour' or 'reputation' or 'face'. Izzat is so much more than that. Really does lend credence to something I saw floating around a week or so ago that this whole feud with Trump started because his team told her she has no path to victory next year and her flailing about since has further confirmed it. She pissed off the conservative base in her district and then learned the lesson that every RINO idiot has been smacked with for decades now - the liberals will just vote for their guy over you no matter what.

Not that she's done much to inspire loyalty either way.

It's much more simple than that. A bacon cheeseburger is goddamn tasty. Even if you're not vegetarian, Indian, Jewish, Muslim, or lactose intolerant, if you can't enjoy the taste of freedom that is a bacon cheeseburger, you are a total faggot, and will never be able to integrate into American culture.

I guess this is why I will always be European. I will happily eat and enjoy a bacon cheeseburger, but if I'm totally honest, I'd prefer to have each meat by itself, because the deliciousness of bacon disappears into the deliciousness of beef.
