@Channel Catfish I'll ask you a question. Do you believe that whatever group, individual, agencies or whoever else was making decisions on behalf of Joe Biden during his term have somehow gone away? I ask because I don't believe that's happened. I believe, like many other periods throughout human history, whatever the public infers as chaos does not actually affect the wealthy, powerful individuals who use all periods of unrest (coordinated or otherwise) as investment opportunities, be it moving investments or establishing new ones. Take into consideration Covid, a sort of global shutdown that also provided such opportunities, with Trump and Biden quietly agreeing on more or less the same "countermeasures".
Yes and no.
The first thing to remember is that the force behind Biden's government (or any government, really) was not monolithic in the first place. This was actually especially true during Biden's term, as the chief executive becoming a walking corpse allowed a larger group of people to make decisions on behalf of different interests. This is what made October 7th and Biden's debate performance such a nightmare for the party, because there was no central authority to hold down the ship and hold various interests together - which, in my view, is the true role of the president. There are many big interests who normally would be hand-in-hand with Dems that witnessed the clown show that was that administration and felt that it would be better to back Trump for the 2024 election, such as Silicon Valley. Would they have done so if the 2024 Democratic candidate was someone who could actually have a chance of winning the election? In my opinion, no.
These interest groups hold a lot of influence over any administration, but only just that: influence. A strong executive, especially one backed by a popular mandate like Trump, can turn the tables against these influencers and impose their own rules of the game. When he came in, he very quickly dismantled USAID, instantly cutting off a major funding pipeline for leftist groups and globohomo in general. He purged a fair amount of the government (but not all, and I guarantee you there are still plenty of Democrat loyalists in there) of left-wing rot. There are still shadowy interest groups in some form of control, but they are
not (all) the same ones as under Biden and they are, this time, beholden to the executive
. Though none of them are really working for the people but rather themselves - hence why they seem similar at first glance - these groups have some different ideologies and directives than the ones they replaced, they recognize the new rules of the game and this is what actually changes policy. Chaos definitely affects the wealthy, it is just that there are a lot of people with their fingers in the pie. One is replaced with another and the total amount is not reduced - this is your "yes" - but what they actually
influence and change is different and their "bundler" just stepped in to take charge - this is your "no". Hopefully I explained what I'm thinking right, I've been kind of tired today.
