I coded the 4th Vienna Award a while ago when I was doing Heydrich. Right now it only appears for Speer, Speidel, and Heydrich. It's part of the Balkan Crisis.

Its weird and like many times of alt history a total fumbling. In this timeline as many pointed out the left would be the warmongers, jingoist, and neo-con types. The protesting students would be right-wing Chuds sorta like when Russia had more of the mandate of heaven from the right-wing and had more support and Tucker supporting it even. There is no reason why segregationists and KKK would want to save niggerinos in Africa. Likewise leftists would jump to do more war-crimes to German running super TND camps in Africa. The right-wing would essentially be (and ironic given I would assume they would like this) be sorta like it is today being very anti-intervention and prefer fortress America or possibly detente with one or all the fascist powers. While the Left would strangely be somewhat more accepted be it from the old alliance with the USSR and Slav refugees from that. You'd see actual MAGA communists and super patriot leftists who see America as flawed by the last bastion of non-fascism. Unfortunately as you said they brought their fuck America baggage with them. They cannot imagine America not being le bad even if their enemies are literal Nazis.

If I remember correctly there was a really interesting bit about neoconservatives (actual neocons not just the generic word for Bush-era guys we hate) all remaining leftists instead of becoming conservative like real life. Especially Jews like Norman Podhoretz, Irving Kristol, Donald Kagan would probably continue being various shades of red instead of shifting right in the face of continued Nazi oppression of Europe.

It woukd be an interesting dynamic on far left to have ideological hawkish leftists (neocons/“neocommunists”) argue it out with ideological dovish leftists like Michael Harrington. Then on the left side of the Democratic Party you could still have the strain of Cold War liberal interventionists like Niebuhr, Truman, Moynihan, Kirkpatrick against the “we have trouble at home” liberals like RFK, Eugene McCarthy, McGovern. It wouldn’t stop the writers from sucking off the blandest schmucks like Hubert Humphrey but it would at least give a little flavor to have the chaos of the real life Democratic primary in 1968 multiple times. Then the wholesum 100 peace libs would have to deal with Richard Daley siccing the water hoses on hippies cheering for the US to nuke Germany

My favorite part of old TNO lore and ideas is that the neo-con girl (forget her name sorry) could be both NPP-grey and NPP-red. Kirpatrick. That was her name. Yeah in old plans she supported using pro-American dictators but the twist being in our timeline America supported right-wing despots so to combat fascism Kirpatrick herself would set up Maoists and Castro like leaders instead. Kirpatrick herself was a leftist until becoming a neo-con around the start of TNO's start date. American politics especially during the 60s was interesting since you still had progressive republicans and "I fucking hate niggers" Wallace and Thurmond. Its just too bad that the devs that are currently there won't do these interesting things. America being a psuedo new comintern would be an interesting idea but instead they act like its OTL America isekaied into TNO and are not aware they are fighting Nazis.

I would embrace him of course, as I always play as a fascist India and rush getting an alliance with German so I can achieve Akhand Bharat.

One of the very, very TNO plans (back when Chai was the India Lead) for India was to have a path led by Golwalkar where he achieves Akhand Bharat by invading all of South Asia and then tries to land a naval invasion into Fiji or Guyana (both have large 'jeet diasporas IRL) but India would inevitably start WW3 because both are CPS or OFN territory protected under the nuclear umbrella.

So, 'jeets could end the world.

Apparently he was a placeholder for Japanese content, and the fact Kishi was apparently more of a bureaucrat irl. Keep in mind irl Kishi basically wanted the army to Nanjing a bunch of socialist students, so imo something like order 44 wasn't out of question for someone like him. Basically all the axis powers irl were comically evil, so the TJD Kishi path could've realistically happened, even if there isn't a direct analog to it in otl.

I had a nightmare about tno ra where I was playing as national socialist USA and trying to help SS burgsys faction in tibet during the chinese civil war. In my focus tree I had an option to either form my own faction or to join Germany or to befriend Vichy France for some reason
