A value free observation: Republicans struggle without Trump somewhere on the ballot. Look across the country in 2024. Nevada is the best example. Trump consistently outperforms other republicans on the ticket. In places like PA, Trump dragged the Senate candidate across the finish line just barely. Trump won in Nevada but Dems won the state elsewhere down the ballot, albeit closer than most expected. Republicans keep losing without Trump because they only have one foot in the MAGA-ish camp and the other trying to be the sterile, neocon party of the past. In many places they try to spend boatloads of cash to primary out the MAGA candidates like in S.C.

It's not going to last, long term. We saw in NY and VA that the dems are on the precipice of being owned by the populist left. The neolib dems are more than happy to appease this group and let the party transition in that direction. And there's a lot of energy behind that. But the republicans keep suppressing their own equivalent populist voices like Tucker Carlson, say what you will about him. If the republicans don't follow up and fully embrace a more national populist message they won't be able to keep up as the boomers die off and more of gen z votes. Young people do not see that Republican party offering them anytthing. Just Israel and tax cuts for rich people. They need to embrace using the big dick of the government and Keynesian economic strategy if they over hope to convert the youth. Their social policies are actually pretty popular across the board (except abortion), so if they outflanked the mainstreams dems on economics before it's too late they might have a chance. But I'm not optimistic about this. AIPAC has the GOP by the balls. Even Trump must pay fealty, and Vance to an extent.
2022 certainly spoke volumes for republicans, didn't it? Remember the red wave that never materialized because he wasn't on the ticket?

I don't know why people are calling this a GoP wipe out?

I mean NYC didn't even run a GoP candidate nor was there any realistic chance in any of the other races. And anyone who thought that Prop 50 in Commiefornia wasn't going to pass is either smoking the good shit or just a dumbass.

Tonight changes nothing, would it have been nice if VA and NJ voted red? Sure, but the chances of that actually happening was like >10%

Exactly why I and many others in this thread have basically given up on any chance of the world not descending into total niggerhell. If the troon hordes blow my brains out for thoughtcrimes, so be it.

The troons are getting everything they ever wanted and more. Right-winger suicide rates are about to skyrocket after tonight.

The outcome in NY was obvious, and the races in VA and NJ were supposed to be much closer than what actually happened. Asides from the ridiculous outcome in the VA AG election, the VA dems flipped 13(?) state assembly seats and will be redistricting VA's congressional map from a 6-5 map to a 10-1 map. That'll make retaining control of the House in midterms more challenging. If anything was a "GOP wipe out" tonight, I think its the implications for VA's GOP congress members.

Exactly. The writing is on the wall and both parties need to change drastically to fit with the times. Democrats are doing that because all they're doing is going from subversive crypto-Communists to obvert actual Communists while the GOP is doing everything it can to fend off any sort of change for the better because its core of geriatric boomers still thinks nationalism=Hitler=bad. This does not bode well for the future that half our own party is dragging us down.

It doesn't help that Trump's going around playing geopolitics like America's still an unopposed superpower and not falling under China's shadow.

The blue wave in 2026 is all but assured. Anyone who still has hope for the future of this country needs a reality check yesterday.

The left is the favorite of natural selection because they actually want to survive and win. All opposition to gay race communism will be bred out of the human race with extreme prejudice.
