Trying to refer to Carbon Monoxide as "lethal gas" is peak "call something with complicated names so single digit morons will think it's worse":
The whole article is basically "how dare Israel not sacrifice hundreds of lives fighting us on our own terms", while also trying to portray them as hypocritical for putting hostages lives in danger, rather than blaming the people who hold the hostages in the front lines.
Also interesting it uses an Israeli organisation for information, wonder how many Palestinian organisations give pro Israeli propaganda...

It's quite interesting to see. It is meaningless theatre about falsifying what happened and their complicity for when we reach the day after the genocide is done and everyone claims they were always against it.
They can point back and go, "we were always against it, look we even recognised a Palestinian state." I don't quite no how the reframing will fit with all these countries still supporting Israel the day after. Unless the plan is to not.
A lot will depend how effective the plan for restricting the internet, mass censorship, propoganda, only approved websites and Government digital ID to be online actually will be to.

See, it's strange, really. You're not wrong that these countries recognizing "Palestine" is meaningless theater, but to think it's to somehow create cover for some future government pretending they opposed whatever "genocide" happening is nonsense.
I mean, first, the most obvious reason is that there really isn't a genocide.
Second, the far more simple answer is that a number of these countries have imported far too many Muslims, which have become voting blocs that support a number of these governments. Meaningless actions like this are done to try to alleviate the pressure upon said governments getting pestered by Muslims and their leftist useful idiots.

When in the near future there are at most a few hundred thousand Gazans living there and however that will be framed. There will be a negative way many people and nations will view it. People may also one day notice what is currently happening in the West Bank.
You're also correct in it also being a meaningless gesture to try and appease the immigrant populations. An immigrant population which will soon have more Gazans. I assume the charade is being done because they anticipate the conflict will be viewed negatively when it is done.
We also have no idea how this conflict will end and what that will look like.
If Bibi wins out over his generals and gets the war with Iran going again in the next few months, that has the potential of spiralling. Iran could crumble quickly. President Peace, Daddy Trump may come in full force, but he may not.
What if the newly installed Chinese and Russian air defences are effective? What if Iran learnt from the last war and improved their targeting? There's no reason to assume Bibi wouldn't use a nuke if Iran put up a good effort. He can do whatever he wants, and the worst is some allies going, "we recognise a Palestinian state." to which he goes, "Never going to fucking happen" and he's right, and everyone knows it.
Everything is still in motion.

I'm old, I've heard these sorts of "oh there's a superduper genocide in Gaza/Palestine" since I've became politically aware. I just keep hearing "Wolf! Wolf" for 20+ fucking years.

I don't know the timeline for driving Gazan's south and getting them into Sinai. I assume it will vary with how operations such as the destruction of Gaza city go. It will also depend on how other conflicts go. Lebanon is trying to regroup for an offensive against Israel. May or may not happen. There's too many variables for me to make any prediction on timelines. Like, if the war with Iran starts again.
Trump could tomorrow grow a spin and cut off Israel. How could the mid term elections that'll go badly for him impact it? Will Kamala and Pete be the candidates in the next US election and lose to JD Vance. Will the Dem's run someone that can win that Israel can't control. So many things could derail it, so I would lean on them wanting it to happen as soon as possible before the next US election. There's also going to be a massive upheavil in European countries over the next two years. Although they're sub cucks and probably could do jack all to stop Israel.
Will Bibi ever face consequences for his legal woes. Would that put someone in who is the same, better or worse. As I said, everything is in motion. Whether they can do what they want, get the greater Israel or not is currently unknown. At this stage I will assume they will, why would I bet against Bibi? I don't like him, he'll go down in the history books as a monster but he's effective and a genius.

I wonder how often the "International Court" gets simple letters from various parties that read "lol, lmao even, fuck off, cheers m8" or words to that effect.
