Hasan is relevant, Destiny isn't. That's the reason. Nobody gives a shit about Destiny. Nobody wants to debate Destiny, nobody thinks he's going to be the "Joe Rogan of the left", and nobody who matters cares what he has to say. He's not important, he's not cool, he's just some freak who DM's minors and spergs out on twitter. The reason there aren't a dozen news articles talking about Destiny's CSAM is the same reason there weren't a dozen news articles talking about Nick Bate or Mr. Pizza; they are not important enough to merit such media attention.
Idk, I think the whole "the reason they aren't covering his CSAM possession is because he's not relevant" is cope.
He's still one of the largest liberal content creators.
I believe he's still got the largest political subreddit and is one of the most popular people to post about on "LivestreamFail", a rather large subreddit.
He interviewed Taylor Lorenz like 6 weeks ago at the height of her writing one of the biggest media stories at the time.
Top streamers like xQc still talk with him on stream.
He's been on some of the most popular podcasts in this space and will continue to do so if the CSAM story doesn't spread. Future Lex Fridman and Jubilee appearances will happen especially if his case gets dismissed.
He also just went viral for his "conservatives need to be afraid of being killed" comments. If he was some random nobody streamer that wouldn't have gone viral. In fact, many conservatives reacted to those remarks, but not a peep about the CSAM possession, you know, the thing that could actually bring him down.
And most importantly, its fucking CSAM. Which I thought was the most radioactive thing to have on your rep. I guess not.
All these people, conservative or otherwise, obviously know who he is. They just don't have any interest in talking about it.
I mean even Philip DeFranco, the "news youtuber", hasn't even covered it. He's made videos on Destiny in the past, I think even a recent one in July. However, nothing on his 100% confirmed CSAM possession. Oh look, he made a video today on Hasan's "shock" controversy, of course.
They all know about it. They don't want to cover it. For whatever reason.
