Just gonna post this here, so we can all see how at 35, Watson has certainly grown wiser and understands the real issues facing today's woman.

Seamless pivot away from troon support. Marriage is the feminist message of 2026

lol

How is marriage biology? What the hell?
Reproducing and marriage aren't the same thing, otherwise black dad jokes wouldn't be a thing? What the hell is going on in this thread? Can we just abstain from being retarded for a sec?
The pressure to get married young comes from the biological clock shit for brains.

Exactly, she's a 35 year old woman. If this was Dolly Parton talking about how her Mom was married at 14 and pregnant at 15 then yes I get it, but Emma's parents pressuring her to try and find someone now so she can have them a grandchild before she's 40 is not "violence", it's a pretty basic experience and one that kind of matters to keeping the species going. Even if she chooses not to, that social pressure is not violence. Grow a spine and own your choices

A maternal age of 35 or older is what hospitals and physicians call a 'geriatric pregnancy' or, in the Newspeak, 'advanced maternal age'.

Emma's eggs are calling to her but she doesn't have a good response for them.

You can get pregnant without getting married, and you can get married and never get pregnant. Marriage and reproduction aren't the same thing. Emma doesn't want either and if her parents are doing the "gibes me grandbabby" passive-aggressive whine-along it is probably really annoying for her. Plus, does anyone in this thread who's been snarling about her being "BPD" or a horrible awful troon defender or out-of-touch and spoiled seriously think she'll be good at parenting?

It doesn't fucking matter if Emma has children or not. Neither Leonardo DiCaprio nor Keanu Reeves and Christopher Walken reproduced. (Keanu did once but sadly it didn't end well but he never did it again).

What matters is her disgusting behavior.

Correct, but I do find it funny that her apparent pivot away from trans issues for her brave stance on womanhood is the pressing issue of the "violence" parents demanding marriage and grandbabies. Remembering that trans issues was not her first foray into feminism, that was #HeForShe, awareness raising among men so that they treat women better. In case anyone wants to say that Watson's activism is genuine and not a cynical attempt to attach to the most anodyne and mainstream professional class women topics (which troons seem to be until they weren't) to seem like she cares. And this one seems personal in a funny way.

They are pressuring her to get married because of the biological clock you derailing weirdos.

Telling her to get married is "violence" against women, but being forced to share a bathroom with a male ain't.

Bravo, Emma.

(Thanks a lot, I'm singing it now here inside a government building)

In Emma's defense, she and other child stars probably have such an overwhelming amount of suitors who are interested in marrying (and fucking) the character they played that pretty much anyone would get quickly put off by that dating/marriage pool.

I don't care if Watson gets married or reproduces. But as has already been said in response, calling the general vibe that marriage and babies is encouraged 'violence' is the kind of problem you have to manufacture when you have no real problems.

Maybe if she had a daughter ot two, she would better understand why gorilla transvestites should be kept out-of the ladies.

Saying pressure to marry is violence is an anti-marriage message.
I think you misunderstood what the person you responded to was saying. Mellow didn't say Emma was being pro-marriage, just that marriage is her new pet issue for the coming year, now that troons are out of fashion.
Exactly, she's fallen so far back from the troon frontier she's back to second wave feminism. Its perfect for someone who wants to be known for fighting for "women's rights" while avoiding any controversy landmines, And like I said, seems like a hilarious pet peeve she is going to try to make into a thing.

As an aside:

This is the faggiest sentence you can say in the developed world, but only you can get away with it. Everyone else needs to go outside and touch a vagina.
I don't think Emma Watson is feeling any sort of subconscious maternal urge, as @Izdaja Slika suggests, however his definition above is correct. The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) adopted age 35 as the definition of AMA in the 70s, or more specifically if the mother would be over 35 at the estimated date of delivery, because it was the roughs threshold point when issues like chromosomal anomalies in the fetus and complication like Preeclampsia spike in likelihood. It's not huge increases overall, but it's the inflection point and it rises with every year over that.

It should be noted that older men also produce increased likelihood of mutation, thought obviously they don't have complications in the process like women do. The increase is more gradual than with AMA, but at advance paternal age (around age 40-45 of the father), the number of paternally based novel mutation based disorders also goes up significantly. In both cases the rate is small overall for mutations, but still much higher than younger cohorts.

I know it is technically correct. I was not trying to "disagree" with a medical definition (how do you even do that?)
It's just gay and retarded to point at the inflection point with your soyface on and go "dat mean no live birth after 35 dems da roolz" like a literal autist. It's not the same as a 60 year old woman accidentally getting pregnant and risking making a baby with a dangerously low birth weight.
The KF men who constantly use that phrase to complain about women increasing their precious birth rates are the ones being all "he said she's GERIATRIC that means BAD LADY SICK BABBY".
You must also be a very special person to think my post was a case of a female getting offended that someone described Emma using the word geriatric.

No, it was worse. You got upset over nothing.

It was a very mild satire and not even of Watson specifically but of the increasing age at first birth in the Anglosphere, and almost everywhere else.

But as for Watson's specific situation, I brought up her age precisely because she may be feeling renewed pressure (or pressure for the first time) from her parents or family about having children. And such pressure, whether you are 21 or 35 is not fucking violence, any more than my mother's regular inquiries about finding a nice girl for me to marry was 'violence'.

But in general, if you are going to have a child or children, it would be better to have them at 25 rather than 35 or 45 and I wasn't prepared for the sheer amount of hysterical butthurt triggering merely alluding to this fact would cause.

I'll take it back if you agree to always say the same thing about testicles over the age of 35 every time you mention uteruseseses over the age of 35. Otherwise, calm down about healthy 35 year old women living in the first world.
However, I understand that you'll be purchasing eggs and wombs from desperate malnourished chicks in Thailand and Nepal, so for your specific personal baby-trafficking purposes, you and will have a better chance at a return on your investment if you select women under 26. Which is fair, money is money.
Anyway, dustpan's full. TTD

But the situations are not equivalent. As has already been explained, the deleterious effects of increasing maternal age start at earlier ages than the deleterious effects of increasing paternal age. And the curve for paternity is not as steep as it is for maternity.

Otherwise, calm down about healthy 35 year old women living in the first world.
I wasn't upset in the first place. It was you who exploded with autistic rage at my post. The evidence is there for all to see.

I would not become a father at my age, nor would I engage in egg purchase or womb rental even if I wanted to become a father. Leaving aside whatever the ethical arguments are in terms of surrogacy and being ready for a nursing home by the time your child turns 20, I simply believe it would be a waste of financial resources.
