So what happens to TV and media when both political parties start threatening them? I'm kinda curious - If Rightoids start spazzing out and shooting up MSNBC, will they be like "Uh, we are like, anti-gay now. Transexual? More like... Tranny...fags. Um..."

The right will come up with better memes for it, zoomers and alphas will say "uhhh, BASED?!" and leftists will descend deeper into cringe until they eat their own tails and evaporate into nothingness

NASA’s space telescopes were gifts from the National Reconnaissance Office. Why do they need billions to turn an old spy satellite 180 degrees?
NRO has only donated 2 optical systems to NASA directly. They were spare optics from the KH-11 KENNON / KEYHOLE line of satellites that were obsolete for the NRO's mission by 2012 when they were donated. neither have been used yet, but NASA has slated one to be launched in 2027.

NRO only gave them the actual optical portion. NASA had to build the rest of the satellite around it, and the agreement with NRO is that they can never be used to look at the surface of the earth to maintain mission capability secrecy. apparently the KH-11 is still top of the line despite inching in on 50 years of service.

The Hubble is rumored to be a KH-11 derivative but there has been no confirmation of this. Personally I think it likely that it was built to the same size specs so NASA could use already built infrastructure.

This is the world we live in, where our government will happily meme and shitpost.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry. I blame Musk when he started DOGE.
At least they pop out something actually funny every now and again. I dred the day a dem gets back into office, not just because of policies, but the left can't meme and you know they will try to shitpost.

Thanks for admitting that NASA didn’t do anything: the optics are the critical part of the telescope. Why do we need to fund them when the NRO is decades ahead of them technologically? Remember the agency doesn’t exist to take photos for some professor’s paper, they’re supposed to enable humans to traverse space.

Also, the military often not change designations when upgrading stuff. I guarantee you that today’s “KH-11” is significantly different than the original KH-11.

Pritzker quotes ‘Andor’ while cheering Kimmel’s ABC return

(He said this a few hours ago, and I can’t archive it because I’m phoneposting.)

My favorite thing about that andor quote is that it applies to everything the left tried to pull and it is currently breaking and leaking. Another part of that quote is "this is because it is so unnatural" and they can't look in the mirror and realize they're the side claiming men can get pregnant.

Fuck that entire show btw. Well made and all but how many times can you say "authority baaaaaaaaaaad" in two seasons? Boring as fuck and one note beyond belief and extremely soap boxy.

The scene where that guy listens to the quote in question then kills himself is such a writers fantasy. "if adolf hitler could listen to a speech i made about what i think of him he would sit there listening to it over and over again, just stunned, until he agreed with me and shot himself."

I hate hollywood so much its unreal.
