To be fair, the reason isn't necessarily Tylenol's fault. I actually don't blame Tylenol that much. The reality and context I think people are missing is that Americans down Tylenol like they're a fucking bag of M&M's. You're supposed to take two every four to six hours? Great, much like McDonald's, which is only so bad for you if you have 1 burger and a small fry, the average person downs 10 burgers in a sitting and wonders why they're fat. People don't follow the directions on Tylenol. They double, triple, and sometimes even quadruple the doses and run them very close together every time the pain starts to come back. I don't think people realize how much Tylenol actually hurts their body when they're downing 10 of them because they're hungover from last night and don't want to feel pain. I've watched plenty of people do this and I'm convinced I'm the only person on the planet who actually follows Tylenol's instructions. Hell, I've even seen hospitals that don't pay attention to Tylenol dosages.
