Christians can sperg over the hermeneutics of Christian forgiveness all they want; the demons that Western civilization is at war with do not understand, and will never understand the concept. You can keep trying to debate them, and bullets will keep flying at you for your trouble.

That's exactly what I'm doing, praying that my own heart softens.
While striking a balance between that and doing everything in my power to prevent these monsters from doing any more damage. From grooming any more children. From ruining any person whose worst crime was to tell them that their behavior is wrong and unhealthy, or for trying to shield children from their influence.

I am inclined to disagree. I started returning to church after an 8 year hiatus. The church I attended is still going strong, has two sermon lessons. And the friend who invited me to come said they had seen a large increase. Lot of younger couples attended last week and today.
Of course, there's a lot of reports of a resurgence of religiosity since Charlie's death. How long this lasts? The fruit of faith will only show.

What's more, if we are in a war, logistics is 80% of warfare. That means the most impactful things that could possibly be done are to cripple the means of funding and organizational support for our opponents. That's not the entire fight but it would solve much of the problem without so much as a single shot fired.
Can't say I was a huge fan of Trump's speech, way too much unrelated to Charlie. While some of it was funny, I don't think it was the time or place for a lot of what he talked about.
Also...this all feels so surreal. My 22 year old daily show with John Stewart watching self would never believe that I would be watching some Republican event for a political assassination with Trump as president. How the fuck did we go from W declaring the GWoT and Democrats being the anti-war party to wherever the fuck we are now with the sides almost completely flipped?

I don't know how you can disagree with me on what happened at my church. I'm saying attendance is up, but everyone goes Sunday mornings anyway. It's a very southern type church in a very not southern place. Anyone who's going for the first time or starting to attend again isn't likely to go to this one, not in this area.

If you want to look at it from a Christian perspective, it's fine if Charlie's wife forgives her husband's assassin, while Trump does not. Erika is an individual Christian citizen, while Trump is the President of the US government.

Pretty much what Lucas says. I think the papists are wrong about a very large number of things, but it's gonna be better to just go talk to a priest than dealing with the liberal bullshit that's taken over many protestant denominations.
Or if you've got a friend who goes to a church that doesn't wave fag flags, ask them and they can get you in touch with their preacher.
