I think that's a very cynical way of looking at this. Trump and the administration is doing a lot to solve many of the core problems facing the country, with varying degrees of success. This is just a politically opportune moment to create a unified front to support the administration based on a tragedy largely engendered by years of left-wing capture of our institutions and aggressive dehumanization of the American Right. I do believe that they're going to investigate the left-wing groups they feel are responsible, just like they've been scrutinizing the universities and going after their funding for pushing leftist nonsense. Change usually doesn't happen rapidly, it tends to be very gradual, but don't be confused, change is happening.

It's always Mossad, it's always Israel, it's never that sometimes people are stupid because they believe wholesale in what they speak and act accordingly. But that's what most people like you want. They can't accept that reality doesn't make sense and can't be all connected like plotlines in a book. We're creatures of solutions and when the answer is muddy or doesn't reveal itself we want to make up a solution that fits with what we know. As much as I'd like to believe there is a secret think-tank behind Trump's presidency developing lasting solutions to real problems, it seems more like he is just doing what worked so well for the other side of the political aisle. Any optimism I had for this Kirk situation began to slowly wither and die once I saw public figures get in front of cameras and insist unity will never happen. You can call me a cuckold or whatever for wanting at least half the room to have sane people in it, and not just two groups treating each other like Israel and Palestine.
