This is how buck broken a leftist would have to be in 2028, to have a chance with moderates. However, their base won't be there. Dems are in catch 22. You can't win moderates and keep the base. Dems are going to have to internally buck break their base.

The problem with the Dem base is that no one, other than other "progressives" can speak to them. They'll do everything possible to turn around what you say to make you a look bad person. They'll work themselves in to histrionics in the process. It is something truly awful to behold.

i think i remember reading about how feds inside the agency have been whining about kash firing democrat aligned people and replacing them with trump loyalists
my best guess is that he got appointed because he's loyal and reliable, which is exactly what you need from someone you put in charge of an agency that's full of politically corrupt people who really really wanted biden/kamala to win the election

The fucking Director of the agency doesn't usually go into the field, EVER. So yes, Patel going out to Utah was highly unusual and noteworthy.
