I hope the government makes the shooter openly state he was a leftist. I know it would barely make a dent in the leftist dreamworld they've built but it would be funny.
Anyways, a boomer I know was pulling the "well, I don't support him being shot BUT he was a divisive figure etc. etc." and I casually brought up MLK also being a controversial figure who got assassinated, yet who is also cheered and loved and lionized.
Somehow, it genuinely stopped him dead in his tracks and kind of admit I had a point. I'm genuinely in shock that it worked, and I don't know what to make of it. Like, did I find a way to short-circuit boomer programming or is my friend just more thoughtful than I gave him credit for?
Funny thing is I don't like MLK.

Seems weird but this was a famous celebrity worth over ten million so it is very likely she has handlers and script writers for public appearances. I have to guess she would mourn more normally when the cameras are off. Of course, she could also be looking to spin this into her own political career or expand his legacy for financial gain too. There isn't enough publicly available about her to guess at her motives.

It is video games' fault, just not how they thought. Roblox has done more damage to humanity than Mortal Kombat ever did. It's a general culture of escapism, nihilism and arrested development that a certain type of person apparently can't handle responsibly, like an alcoholic ruining their life. It's baffling because most of us can play Undertale and not cut our dicks off, but I would gladly go back to no games and dial-up internet if it made these fuckers be normal again.

While it is anecdotal, my family splits pretty evenly into Democrat/Leftist and Republican/Chud camps and my boomer uncle got onto /pol/ years back after hearing about it in his MAGA Facebook group. I am not saying this is indicative of all people there, but quite a few people on there might be Facebook boomers with jobs and grandkids who went there when they heard that was where all the conservative hip kids were going.

I hope you never have to lose your someone important to you. I don't think she's acting weird, she's responding in grief. Grief isn't linear nor is it pretty like the movies.
Plus it's stress compounded with how the media is expecting so many answers from her and then there's psychos directly calling for her to be dead and leaving her vile messages.
It's straight up demon behavior. That's the only word I can use to describe it.

That link concerns reddit (and wikipedia) but there's no reason to think that they aren't pulling the same shit on /pol/. Of course the tone and approach will be different, since there's no up or downdoots, and they're also not bound by reddit's remember-the-hooman rules. So instead of installing janny cabals to upvote each other and nuke dissenters they'll just simply flood the board and make it, as you called it, a steaming pile. The spike in Trump-Israel posting is the giveaway to me; it was a recurring topic in his first term, but in the absence of other major news (like Kirk or the Ukranian girl) I swear the last year and a half of /pol/ has just been MIGA spam and nothing else, and something about their weirdly zealous tone when doing so just screams sand nigger to me.
