Pretty much because he's a lazy fuck unwilling to do anything at all. Somehow, when he does, though, he always finds the most convoluted, dumb ways of doing something.
This. Also he found out it's easier to resell Skylander shit that he designed and someone else made. Except for the fact nobody, and I mean NOBODY wants Skylanders shit he designed in 4 minutes on their website.

Because he is a lazy cunt, its as simple as that. He still owes people comic pages and medallions that they paid for on his Etsy shop, they will never get their money back or the goods.

Anyone who lets this fat mongoloid steal their money doesn't deserve to have it.

I know Chris bought the Skylanders custom character cards but those are fifteen bucks apiece. The figures are fifty bucks and the tshirts are twenty-five; Chris probably bought figures and cards (Since you can't use the tshirts to play the game) first and then made the shirts the last part of his his horrible, horrible plan.

And remember;

This is the catalyst that convinced Chris his 'art' is worth thousands of dollars.

Yeah but tbh Chris always thought everything he scats up with Sonichu crap is instant gold. Even if its just creating a custom in some video game.

I don't understand how Barb could've let him waste all that time sewing this shit up when they're doing this badly financially, there's no way in Hell she also believes he's famous enough to warrant his old ratty clothing being worth tens of thousands of dollars on the internet: she might be suffering from dementia but I'm sure even she's still got enough of her wits about her to realize that kind of money won't come in, especially given his stellar track record with troll interactions and his lack of success with the Sonichu brand.
Having worked with dementia people for years, I assure you that it is entirely possible that she would believe that.

He sounds like goddam Father Mushroom.

I like that his MLP figures on the right look like they're about to Thelma and Louise. They've clearly had enough.

"I've actually gotten local praise for the shirt, locally from other people."

By other people he of course means Barb.

This is a bummer of a scenario. With a look of pure shell shock and dementia, Barb's glassy eyes go right through Chris even though he is directly in front of her as she offers fake and monotone acclaim for a ripped up shirt that she probably doesn't even remember.

Then comparing himself to "Shoeless Joe Jackson" because he was illiterate..?! It was actually quite normal to be illiterate in the early 20th century, it's will never be normal to be Chris in any century.
.

Bringing illiteracy into his discussion is pretty much moot. Generally value is determined by demand, popularity and rarity. Chris' tism prevents him to see that his smelly rags and drawings don't meet up with those requirements.

The thing that baffles me is that he still works high school into so many of his stories at 34
I work with a guy like this. He isnt autistic or anything, just been working a shitty job alone since high school and brings up his high school sports "accolades" and "cool stuff" he did during high school in the 90s. I like Chris more than him.

Is he going through puberty again? His voice sounds like it's cracking.
It's acid reflux from a bad diet, visceral obesity pressing on his lower esophageal sphincter, and wearing tight clothing. Anyone's voice can break if they have acid reflux. You can't go through puberty in reverse or forward, his voice is not getting more feminine; Chris probably thinks this is the case. Sadly, having your vocal chords bathed in acid can lead to cancer.

For some losers in life, high school is where their life peaked, which is sad.

But in Chris' case, HS sucked for him, and his "gal pals" who were only friends with him out of pity are the high-point of his life, which is even sadder.
