He gets it mostly from “predicting” that the Iraq War was going to be a disaster before the invasion started. Problem is, he actually didn’t care about the impending war in late 2002, then briefly supported it in 2003, and promptly said it was a disaster in 2004 when it turned into a goatfuck.
It’s almost like he had no skin in the game so he could just parrot whatever was popular.

During the campaign, he made his 2004 era opinions out like they were from 2002.

Nobody pressed him on it because Hillary is a warmongering cunt. While Trump was saying “yeah I guess we should invade idk” on Howard Stern, Hillary was going before Congress and telling the Democrats that Iraq WMD was totally real and they shouldn’t attempt to stop it by going absolutely apeshit.

The other reason he comes out like some kind of dove is that MAGA grew from the Tea Party. And the Tea Party was a revolt by conservatives who didn’t like that the neocons started a war that bankrupted the government and expanded the surveillance state.

Bernie was the only one who got it right when it mattered.

To this day, Trump is a fairweather fan of wars. Which is actually a good thing because his lack of commitment means he can’t get bogged down in a quagmire.

Oh, it's far worse than him being a straight up liar. An increasingly common tactic used by the United States ever since Trump took office is using diplomatic negotiations as a lure to make way for assassination attempts and other skullduggery against "our" enemies for daring to come to the table in hopes of ending whatever bloodshed that was started by the US or her allies this month.

Not only did Trump greenlight the attack, but apparently it failed to inflict any casualties against Hamas leadership. So we're ripping up our international credibility by assisting in carrying out mob style assassinations with collateral damage in countries like Qatar just to swipe and miss like complete fools. Keep in mind that Qatar is a US ally that hosts Al Udeid air base, the largest military base in the entire Middle East. What country in their right mind would trust America when they pull this kind of shit?

On the topic of the tea party, I'm somewhat shocked that the libertarian/anti-neocon elements in MAGA have become silent/not very influential in Trump's policy (aside from DOGE fucking around & slashing the budgets of random federal departments). You'd think they'd be more up in arms about all the aid being sent to both Ukraine & Israel.

He was using the political pendulum to his advantage at the time he was a registered democrat. Then Obama took over for two terms where he registered as a republican. It's not that surprising that the president loves to flip-flop his political beliefs around if it benefits him publicly. He's more likely to put on a show in Chicago or shoot smuggler boats in Venezuela to have people stop talking about he was an FBI informant and being connected to the Epstein files.
