To be fair, this thread did dox him. It's fair for him to ask why and for the thread to tell him why. It's a little different than someone coming in here and telling everyone that Steve's hair isn't that greasy. He's not defending Destiny.
We have to remember that DGG is a diverse community. Sure, there are autistic basement dwellers and drug-addled e-girls, but they also have high IQ individuals like Jason here. He even says so on his website:

While normally I agree, we did indeed name drop him and his info. Additionally, he came in here, perhaps a bit irritated but (even if he was only pretending) relatively respectful and asking questions instead of just being an asshole or saying crazy shit. He's been given several respectful, honest, and reasonable responses that I am certain would never be given in places like Reddit. He's been shown courtesy, which is more than what could be said for the community he represents. I am a firm believer in always being a good host when strangers enter my home and I think its a fair policy here.

His meltdown to me stems from the fact that Klein was one of his mains vectors to whtiewashing his image. Klein can't associate with pedo under fire because he was in the process of accusing Hasan of being a sexpest. Destiny has been an open ephebophile for a while now and still made pedo jokes knowing that he could obfuscate it just enough to stay in the good graces of people like Ethan even if the vast majority took it for what it was. If WillyMac hadn't turned on him there is a good chance Destiny would have weathered the storm with Dan Saltman gay-oping in Ethans ears.

Destiny doesn't really know what a friend is. All of his relationships are very transactional and revolve around what people can do for him and what he can do for them. Despite it never working out for him, he believes that people will be his friend if he is able to give them something no one else can. He said as much when Max and Lav left his orbit. He explicitly said he never expected them to backstab him because they got so much attention because of him and his community. He thinks everyone forms relationships like he does, but they don't. Those logs someone posted between Destiny and Lauren Delaguna were another example of this. Lauren mentions how many people love him, like herself and Pxie, and Destiny's reply was that she couldn't love him because she was never his girlfriend. It's a completely foreign idea that someone could just love him for no reason.
Can't be assed to verify rhe filename, but I can see this being the case. I imagine steven carefully editing 60gb videos worth of filenames for hours, assigning unique dates and times to each one, creating a narrative that not only makes him seem innocent but paints rose as being 18 at the time.
