Maybe because his videos are dogshit and people are tired of the blase fuck around and waste money shenanigans. Not to mentions 99% of the videos are just ads.

It's kinda funny that most of those videos had specific employees that made them fun, and they were later sacked or just left. They're a big part of what makes a channel, and if you keep kicking them off and getting new, cheaper people, the fans will get bored. He also shuts down whatever channels he has that were still remotely good e.g TechQuickie, GameLinked, whatever else there was

I think Linus got drunk with money and saw himself as part of the 1%, so he tried doing all this weird extravagant shit like the tennis court or his mcmansion, his labs, etc. He spent a significant amount of his profits on stupid shit his audience simply doesn't care about, and what they do care about he just never uses and leaves to gather dust. Most of his latest videos seem like he's running out of ideas, it's mainly just throwing money around at random shit

And don't get me wrong, I enjoyed a lot of his older money throwing videos, but recent stuff seems to be ...out of touch? I don't know, could just be jealousy? Possibly, but I don't feel this irked when I see the odd mr beast clip of him spending 100x what Linus does on similarly retarded shit, or Donut shooting machine guns from helicopters or whatnot, those are really fun to watch

This corporate structure Linus has now also sucks. He's definitely hired different idea people and fired all the ones that came up with good ideas before

A genuine "this is what to do electronically to your new house" would be an excellent evergreen type series where you show simple things like running cable, or setting up a home server in a room or closet (that could also be used for a small business, etc), simple home theater setup. This is such a simple idea. But he has to ruin it with gay-ass multiple part videos on a stupidly impractical home theater, the pool server travesty, and Jake doing never ending gay stuff to the network. And of course the stupid light switches.

That one hits home so bad because I have remote switches too, I paid like a few bucks a pop years ago and I haven't ever had any issues since. Linus makes thing seem a lot worse just by his sheer presence (and hardware choices)

I've got automatic lights on the outside of the house, in the vestibule, and in the garage.
I just bought the cheapest smart home lightbulbs the local hardware store had on offer. Made a second wireless network that only gets Internet access, anything connected there is forbidden from accessing anything else on the network (same network my robot vacuums and lawnmowers are on). Did the app thing to connect the lights to the net and my account. Configured them to trigger off sunrise/sunset and a pair of motion sensors, and that was that, it's just worked ever since. No idea if the motion sensors use bluetooth to trigger the lights or if the signal goes over the internet, but it makes no difference to me because it just works. And because it's a cheap Chinese system from a generic brand, the servers have stayed up because I'm not stuck hoping some smarthome startup doesn't go bankrupt and shut the servers down, the Chinese system is funded by everything from e-scooters to hammers, nor am I at risk of a firmware update bricking my system, because there aren't any updates. No idea how many botnets my garage light is part of by now, as long as it keeps working as a light I couldn't care less.
 
It just feels like Linus over complicates shit for the sake of overcomplicating it. I have a Philips hue bridge ( the gen 2) and I think like 20 bulbs total... A few color ones for the living room for messing around with music and some games. Keeps the kids and wife happy. I don't feel like I need to self-host with home assistant... Although I would like to look into it down the line just for fun... Got a couple of HP gen9 servers that are just sitting. Waiting for something to do

Linus could have gone with a A tier Asian wife but somehow a D tier south Asian freak got to him.
If Linus spend some time in Asia he would've gotten better social skills.
Maybe his boy wouldn't have turned into a psychopath.
