I’ve had a theory on this from the beginning when he mentioned the skype call.

We know solo was a bonger and obviously a a predator. The whole scheme was slightly deranged and it speaks to his character.

I agree it makes no sense to record on skype. Why not just record it on video and send it to solo after?

Unless the recordings were taken in secret.

Rose would interact with the hookups while solo was on skype and he would trigger the recording to start once they were in frame and started hooking up.

I have nothing to support this other than it explains the skype recordings.

The alternative is that Rose’s partners agreed to be on a skype call with a faceless stranger AND be recorded having sex which seems… unlikely. I believe the videos were taken without the consent of Rose’s partners.

Counter theory:
The video looked like it had the Skype layout with the boyfriends initials in the screenshot. If Destiny was video calling I would assume they would be doing it over discord. So they were probably recorded by Solo. But you're right, it wouldn't make much sense for Solo to screen record just to send it back to her for her to send to buyers. It's probably why Solo had access to the discord account in the first place. It's likely he would record the videos and then just log into the discord account to sell/send the videos to the buyers.

If the videos Destiny received were all screen recordings, and Solo/Rose shared the account, it's possible there were times Destiny thought he was sexting with Rose but was sexting with Solo trolling him

The reason why he has "dogshit" political opinions is that his father is absent, and so Nathan has pent-up resentment/rage towards him. The nazi shit isn't genuine, it's literally just a cry for help. He's a child, he doesn't know shit about crap, it's all just for attention because he doesn't get his needs met otherwise.

For a while now, I've been thinking about going to school to become a School Counsellor because I'm passionate about giving youth a safe space to vent and learn. Watching Nathan go through everything he has gone through without help has broken my heart on several occasions, because I know there's nothing I, a stranger on the internet, can do... and nobody else will step in.

I think about how he was probably such a sweet little dude, with lots of hope in his heart, but was failed by the people who were meant to protect him. He's so strong for persevering through the trauma and abuse--I can't even begin to imagine what it was like to not only be a child with a "famous"/retarded/absent father and abusive mother, but also having grown ass adults target you daily until you go fucking nuts.

I mean fuck, he was like... 10-12 years old when Covid happened? I don't even want to know what that must have felt like, especially given his circumstances.

Ultimately, the fact that Nathan is still standing is extremely commendable, and his constant growth as a person gives me hope for his future.
