Ethan never really gave "eat the rich" speeches. Maybe he used to say some current year talking points back in the late 2010s, and nodded along with whatever Hasan said during Leftovers. But he's absolutely not taking an "eat the rich" stance. He's deliberately been showing off his watch collection, including wearing a $40k Rolex while lighting a cigar with money and bragging about how he's happy to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on lawyers. If anything, he's likely trying to appear wealthier than he actually is, if some of the things about Teddy Fresh and his flagging channel are to be believed.

The point is that Ethan is
claiming he believes his family's lives are at risk and they're all constantly terrified. But he's very specifically not acting like someone in that situation. That's because Ethan is not actually scared for his or his family's lives and nor does he have any reason to be, but it suits him to craft a victim narrative as another means of attack against his imagined conspiracy theory network. Remember, Ethan has claimed that Hasan, iDubbz, Denims, Ana Kasparian, Taylor Lorenz, the snark subreddit, the staff of Reddit, the staff of Twitch (etc etc) are all secretly colluding together to bully him off the internet in an organised secret plot, when in fact he's just getting blowback from a) courting a leftist audience and then being insufficiently leftist (which he was warned about) and b) having a continual meltdown for the last two and a half years, alternating between picking fights and crying about it.

Ethan is not living a normal life and using social media like millions of other families do. While his channel is dying, he's still livestreaming to tens of thousands of people while being deliberately inflammatory
and also saying stupid shit and powerlevelling. Would that excuse calling CPS on his children to fuck with him? No. Would that explain how CPS ended up getting called? Yes. Although the jury's still out on exactly who called CPS and if they were called to fuck with him, or if they got called because he gave the impression he lived in a dog shit strewn house, his children were getting sick from it and then someone legitimately got concerned about their welfare.
Having to specifically say "look how not covered in dog shit my house is" sums it up, because it's his own fault people thought his house was covered in dog shit,
because him and his crew had specifically broadcast themselves at various points talking about how there was dog shit everywhere (albeit mostly in the studio).
