OSRS is actually doing really well right now on Twitch and like Lammy said (below) a bunch of WoW streamers have been playing it recently, including OnlyFangs players and Sodapoppin. This is Jason's attempt at cashing in on the recent trend of WoW players trying out OSRS, which makes the low viewership even funnier. He couldn't use the game as an excuse if he wanted because some WoW streamers have been getting more viewers than average streaming OSRS in the last few weeks.

Considering he blocks all the entities, he's really only making it more boring for himself and his viewers. Grinding Todt is really only enjoyable if you're interacting with the other players. RS is honestly one of the worst MMOs to try and play single player as a content creator. Without the other players, its just doing the same visually and mechanically repetitive tasks over and over, and Mald sure as fuck isn't charismatic enough to keep that entertaining.

A reddit thread kinda explains how twitch subs work when everyone is subbed, and while you can GIFT subs, if you have less viewers, and all viewers have subs, the gift subs work as follows from what I can tell

-gift sub first targets current viewers
-if all viewers have subs, target recent viewers
-if all recent viewers have subs, target general "COMMUNITY" (IE, are you a tf2 streamer? gift sub goes to random tf2 viewers)
-if all of those already have subs, goes to completely random twitch user

Maybe none of this matters if all of those were viewbotted, but basically this kneecaps growth, since subs mainly help by incentivizing random joins to stay longer and follow because they got a sub, but this is less and less likely the more removed you are from a person.

So even with sub 90% refund with khronos, this money will effectively be burned since he won't be making new joiners subbing with their own money.

Also hes only CONTINUED to decline, and is rapidly approaching dropping under 1 mil. When he does, we need a community feature for sure.

its 95% a nothing burger, didn't get a whole ton of views, and they've since been taken down for 'violating tos', but somewhat worth jotting down anyway.

Old School Runescape is largely populated by the severely autistic. OSRS is based off of an ancient MMORPG which came out in 2000 or so and is a game that is incredibly grindy, tedious, repetitive, etc. Hence the appeal to autists.

The 'severely autistic' cohort tends to consist of permanently online troons or permanently online chuds.

Since Maldy is trying to be a heckin' wholesome inclusive streamer (and is a degenerate piece of filth that belongs on the cross) he is naturally going to gravitate towards the troon demo in OSRS.

I don't know much about the social dynamics of OSRS or the pendulum, so I'll defer to people who know more than me.

At work, can't clip, but he's getting trolled in OSRS again. He has about 4 addons installed, world hider, entity hider, chat hider, "annoying sounds" hider. And people are still managing to troll him in creative ways. He's literally playing single player Runescape but still getting trolled and spamming player reports. Also he is refusing to add Jake to the group ironman, incoming drama? Apparently adding Jake now will remove some "group prestige" for the group ironman, which is a cosmetic indicator thing with no effect on gameplay. Mald is REFUSING to stand down and let Jake into the group Ironman because of this. Hilarious.
