I went to Dr Yost in Rochester for my top surgery February 21, 2025. He’s kind I’ll give him that. No before/after portfolio like Dr Davenport had. Yost left a lot of excess skin on my sides even after revision. I can not recommend him in good faith especially to other bigger trans men/trans mascs. I have no clue why botched top surgery has become standard for bigger guys but it needs to stop. He could’ve removed so much skin and now I’m left hating my chest

Technically a few days short of two months but it's close enough. The stiching has finished absorbing and a large majority of the swelling has gone down. The vaginal canal itself is largely unfeeling but there's more than enough feeling in my clitorial area to make up for it.
Using the bathroom is no issue, the bleeding has stopped, discharge is now a normal color, I can slightly self lubricate, and I've been able to achieve both penetration and orgasm.

I'm not in the best state of mind again... guess it's because I've been stressing again about my urinary issues and the like. It's not severe. I'm still grateful I've got this far. My urologist will be performing a cystoscopy soon.
It's just we all have bad days, I suppose. Having to listen to a relative intentionally misgendering a trans woman, calling gay men gross, and then today having Reddit algorithms suggest a post in another sub Reddit (which I don't visit!) about how disgusting phallo is, is just really draining. Yo cystoscopy gang! Getting one too. Ive had fistulas and strictures the whole summer after surgery so i haven't had the joy of standing to pee yet (my biggest reason for phallo).

I know what you mean; I have had similar thoughts about many of the people featured on My 600-lb Life, like, for example, Steven Assanti and the now deceased James King (who lived till 49, FYI, having been bed-bound and literally growing mold on his legs for over a decade). Talk about having been blessed with demi-god tier genetics, and throwing it all away to slobber down 30k calories a day trapped in a filthy bed.
I think a lot of these TIFs who've amassed a huge number of high-risk surgical procedures and complications will end up like Gruffin; they've managed to survive up until this point because they're young and the youthful body has a surprising degree of resilience. But that's not forever, and once they've managed to push their body past the breaking point, any minor complication can do 'em in. For Gruffin it was an intracranial hemorrhage, but her kidneys and her heart were already shot. Liver was failing, too. I wouldn't be surprised if many of the phallo TIFs featured on here were brewing the latest strain of multi-resistant staphylococcus in their rotdogs and/or bladders.

Even cosmetic interventions as routine and relatively simple as breast implants are now, decades later, showing pronounced complication rates that were totally unguessed at the time that silicone implants were being marketed as inert and safe. Even saline implants are starting to show risks after becoming the standard due to concerns with silicone. and this is 20 - 30 years down the line from implantation
I'm searching around on google right now, and I can't even find any studies that look at Penile Inversion Vaginoplasty beyond like 7 to 8 years, and that shows small single digit complications (this is retrospective study, so not looking and immediate post operational complications which are much higher). But given that PIV has been around since the 70s, you'd think there would be some data on long term outcomes, but as far as I can see, nada. It's just not a question research has looked into, probably because of difficulty even tracking down subjects but also maybe ideologically trying to prevent uncomfortable data from emerging. Phalloplasty shows a ton of short and medium term complications, but again, nothing long term. It is very much entirely unknown at this point. (But I have a hunch about what sort of things they would find...)
