I understand that doom pillers are annoying retards, but people have been saying "guise the NFA is gonna die for realzzz" for going on a decade now. This also means the obvious corollary that the government has had 18 billion "NFA is unconditional" lawsuits all of which have failed.
If the supreme court is reluctant to touch the Illinois assault weapons ban, what makes you think they'll just nuke the NFA?
I would love nothing more than to be dead wrong about this (a full auto PCC would be tons of fun), but thats just not likely as of our current paradigm.

What actually matters I think right now, is the current lawsuit by PSA and others over SBS, SBRs, AOWs and suppressors. They actually have a really strong argument, since if the NFA cost is $0 on those items, it, according to the constitution, is not a tax, and if it is not a tax, it is a registry, which the supreme court has ruled  is unconstitutional on multiple occasions.

Politics is glacial, and gun politics is the same if not worse. I doubt we'll see movement on the machinegun front soon, but I think the proliferation of FRTs and Super Safetys will start a zeitgeist change over the next decade (much like the proliferation of AR15s after the assault weapons ban, leading to the tax drops for the NFA items in the BBB), especially if Vance gets elected next 2 terms.

This is unironic truth. I have brought up to people I know how vitriolic and how cocksure they openly were about the unvaccinated deserving to be rounded up or put in camps or denied basic human rights. And they all act like they weren't THAT wild about it, or that they didn't even really say that, am I sure they said that? That doesn't sound like them.

Everyone wants to memoryhole how they acted during the coof hoax, because everyone feels ashamed about how they acted, what they were willing to take, and mostly what they were willing to do deep down.

I've heard people claiming everything different after Bruen, but I've not really seen much difference. Gun laws need to change, and they just haven't seemed to yet. Once in a while something cool happens, New York or California takes a kick in the dick, but other than that, it's like you said, glacial.

That won't happen nor will the NFA be overturned altogether - but not because of Dems but because of Republicans. Tons of rich Repubs' have waaaay too much money riding on their current collections. The shittiest legally-transferable full-auto goes for about $20k today because the registry closed so long ago. Re-open it to new registrations and that gun is $250. I've had this convo with a couple of those people and their faces go flush when they realize.

What I want is for some stupid gun case to reach SCOTUS and, in the middle of oral arguments, Alito and Thomas jump up onto the bench, shotgun beers, moon the communists, and then dropkick Nigger-Buns Cuntson before chanting "USA! USA! USA!" and deciding that all gun laws are null and void. Sotomayor and Kagan get wet for the first time in their lives and agree.

The hatred towards RFK jr. from the left has always been odd and extra spiteful to me. The man is the nephew of the best Dem president ever that helped shaped the image of the Dems to this day, and had to live though the assassinations of both his uncle and his own father by the deep state. Then he entered the family business himself, tried to be a good American and fix things politically, only to be shunned by not just his party, but his own family too. He is very eccentric, sure, but I don't blame him for being that way, and it should be easy for people on both sides to at least empathize with a man who had his family killed by the feds and wants to fix things.

All those people are genetically or mimetically connected to the same apparatus that killed his father and uncle why would they treat him any better?
