It's safe to say they crossed the line of bullshit in this update. Apart from the balance changes, there's also numerous huge bugs. Like you can't gain bloodlust, the scratch marks randomly disappear and so on. The game is just fucked. Bugs that were in PTB were not addressed at all. This update was so half-assed and I'm surprised how do license holders even agree to this shit.

I literally just logged back to see how the game has been faring and the first thing I come across is a pole in the main menu. I didn't even bother, I knew immedeatly it was one of those updates. I don't understand who is more retarded, the devs for being unable to fix basic issues or the consoomers of this game that keep paying for overpriced slop cosmetics and generic killers.

-Streetwise bugged
-Dramaturgy gives RETIRED Map & Keys
-Chase bug, no window block & bloodlust
-Michonne voice too loud
-Last Stand increases vault speeds

  • Ace in the hole gives event addons such as blighted syringe
  • Blood rush lets your Sprint Burst recharge while running
  • Experimental TWD tile went from being supposed to appear randomly on all maps to being introduced as its own shitty map
Currently killer is just about gambling whether you face a comp team, Vigil + Sprint Burst abusers, exploiters, outright cheaters or a combination of all four. I have better odds of having fun elsewhere, so I've been taking a break from killer.

The mythic dawn murdered the emperor, raided the treasury and updated DbD all on the same night.

The TWD tile likely became it's own map because they shit up the map code too much.
 
Mandy (dev, fat) has officially announced that abusing exploits will not get you banned:

Even though they did ban people for the Legion infinite mend. Also the killer player she replied to got banned on forums lol. I wasn't joking about all killer players getting banned on there.

So survivors can abuse these outright exploits against you with no punishment:
  • Streetwise (items with unlimited charges)
  • Blood Rush (recharging exhaustion while running)
  • Last Stand (unlimited and better Finesse, impossible to get hit at vaults)
Why aren't those getting killswitched if they actually break almost every match for the killer player? I don't believe it's not intentional to just let survivors abuse their new toys while claiming ignorance about how broken they are. That's on top of the usual abuse of "intended" perks like Vigil, Conviction or giga buffed Medkits with no counter.

I did a test in the evening yesterday and those were the queue times for both roles:
Survivor: 1 minute and 50 seconds
Killer: 10 seconds

What's the matter? You don't want to be a helpless toy for the survivors?

I decided to check the DBD subreddit to see how they were reacting to this mess of an update, most of the posts were jokes about the pole in the loading screen but I came across this absolute gem.

Reddit is for sub-humans, it's nothing but an advertising platform encouraging a hivemind. BHVR knew how fucked the patch was and they did two things to divert the redards' attention:
  • they buffed pig
  • they endorsed the offering screen beam and gave it a name, "Jim"
Those two things were enough to make most of the community spam Jim memes and freak out about pig buff while ignoring everything else. They are very manipulative and think the players are their niggercattle. They were also spotted saying things like "letting players know about the killswitch was a mistake" in Discord and deleted the post with a screenshot of this.

So from what everyone is saying it sounds like the Game is pretty obnoxious right now (I mean more than usual.), and particularly for Killer players. I assume Behaviour's reasoning is that they don't really care if they release an update that seems to be untested, and broken as they have plenty of people who will buy up the Walking Dead stuff no matter what they do.
Fine with me, it gives me time to divert my attention to some other Games. I bought Predator Hunting Grounds in the past when it was on sale for a few bucks, but I never got around to playing it until now. I'm mentioning it here as I assume it would count as an Asymmetrical (although "Slasher" is a stretch.) since there seems to be the one Predator at a time with a few Humans from what I've played. I've played a few Predator Games where you play as them (Mostly the AVP FPS Games, and the Capcom Arcade Game.), but this is probably my favorite in terms of the Predator's Gameplay, especially being able to run around through the Trees. I assume the same people who made the Killer Klowns Game made it as it has the exact same menus, and everything. My only problem is that I want to play as the Predator, and it can be a bit of a wait in the queue, unless there are a good amount of people playing.
Also I wanted to mention my Killer ideas for the Predator although I'm sure tons of other people have made them since it's one of the most obvious Killers to include in DBD.

THE PREDATOR
So my idea is pretty simple. You've got the Wristblades for the main weapon. You've got something like the Wraith's Cloaking. And you've got the Shoulder Plasma cannon, which would need to be charged up a bit to Fire. If you want to get more complicated then maybe some of the Predator's other weapons could be lying around the Maps for you to pick up, and use against Survivors (Combistick, Disk weapon, Netgun, etc...) as I'm sure the developers would make it more complicated than just Cloaking, and Shoulder Cannon with how they design the Killers now. Personally I feel that simple is better for Killers sometimes though imo.
Also I may have forgotten to mention it, but since it's me, my DBD Predator would be a wifely wifey waifu Yautja.

BHVR admit defeat and have killswitched the 3 exploitable perks:
It only took whole community and half the streamers to call them retards on repeat to do this. And since they did it so late (around 12h before patch) it seems like it's just pandering and wanting to save their face.

They also removed the bullshit unlimited uses from Fog Vials and nerfed the Iri addon a bit. Survivors are not taking it well.

He is on the payroll from BHVR. Other influential people like Hens or Lilith Omen (not a tranny, just a Blight main) are too. When the mega buggy Walking Dead patch released, they all were awfully quiet about it all. They're all just corpo slaves playing super safe not to lose their connections.

It's a real damn shame that some killer mains with few or no dedicated specialists channels have to rely on scraps from bigger channels like Otz and Hens to learn tips for their killer, especially when their understanding of the killer can sometimes be vague or factually incorrect. I've come to enjoy Dredge but there's effectively only two specialists on Dredge that make content, and one(GamingAthlete) hasn't uploaded in 4 months, while the other(kmd) has one of the worst lisps I've ever heard on another human being.
Actually, speaking of GamingAthlete, someone put out a three-hour video calling him out over various minor issues. The TL;DR(because half of the video is irrelevant DSP-tier rambling and dead air) is:
  • the dude got a little egotistical and started calling himself THE authority on Dredge
  • mocked another creator's content and put out a badly-worded and not very public apology
  • gave his twitch mods quotas(they have to interact with chat AND work for free? unreal)
  • aggressively disagreed with other members of his community Discord server over various aspects of the Dredge kit
  • general Discord shenanigans(a underaged moderator was hit on by someone older, which poses a whole litany of other issues)
If there's actual credence to some of the accusations, they're buried under a mountain of dogshit. But it's YouTube drama anyways, who realistically cares?

It seems that survivors are trying to give Clown the Skull Merchant treatment. They're either mass DCing and refusing to play or just giving up to inflate the kill rate. You might be wondering what changed? Not much really, most players simply switched from hindering survivors with purples to giving themselves haste with yellows. So why are people mad? Because:
  • it's easier to counter their braindead shift+w
  • it's a killer equivalent of vigil + sprint burst and it is not so fun to be on the receiving end of it
They never say that Clown is simply unfun to play against which I would be fine with. They say that he's overpowered, that he's better than Nurse, that he needs to be killswitched. Apparently the 1% haste buff made such a difference that he's on the level of Nurse. Just loads of bullshit reasons to justify their temper tantrums so they don't look like entitled crybabies that they are.
