Sorry to Fatpacks it up here, but I don't see the Republicans winning the next election. Trump has had the tact of a wrecking ball, which is to be expected, but lately it's been working against the GOP. Foreign-policy wise, it's been pretty mediocre to bad. I don't think he should stay as the leader of the party at all, but he likely will.

If you're talking about midterms, while it's still very early, I can see you having that opinion. Typically the out of power party takes at least one of the legislatures in the midterms. The Epstein Psy-op was very effective, Elon definitely trying to give the Dems the house with his Spoiler Party, but we're still a huge timeframe away from that, there is a crazy number of factors that could swing things either way leading up to that.

To say that for 2028 is insane though, we're another world away from that being predictable. Dems are in a really rough place right now, and I'm predicting a very challenging Primary for them, but even I'm not saying it's in the bag for the Republicans.

Stud I get what you're saying with the comparison, but...yes. We don't talk about China the way we do about Venezuela. We don't act towards the two countries the same. What point are you making? It would appear that we absolutely can just talk about Venezuela like that. The fact that we can't/don't talk about China like that just demonstrates properties of the two countries.

If you want to argue that he shouldn't have said that about Venezuela, you can do so. Pointing out that we treat China differently is not convincing, because the two are different. It's not an obvious hypocrisy.

I might, MIGHT get a burger tattoo somewhere discrete enough to be ignored but the only reason I feel confident saying this is I know that wont happen. (the "this" in the situation is the trump admin publicly taking the stance that Taiwan is our democratic ally and China is the "rouge province" prior to war.)
