It just seems illogical for him to steal his mother's pills when he's on a multitude of harder substances. Anything a middle-aged/elderly woman would be routinely prescribed would be small potatoes for someone who can score coke, ket and molly as we know Nick routinely does. His regular dealer would certainly know a guy, and it would certainly be much more convenient than stealing mummy's prescription, as well as being much cheaper than his usual coke order. I don't believe he would try to hide his drugs in a seemingly legal container, the notes of the body cam footage throughly dash that notion, but said containers are also generally very convenient for his needs, being purpose built to store drugs.

Maybe it's just me, but I think the actual point of what Jessie did has been overlooked. At the end of showing them he said something to the effect of "If you think it's fake, show me the exif data for yours and I'll show you mine". I took that as this was just a way to fuck with Nick because Nick will never show the exif data of his photos. So the photos Jessie showed are just as legitimate as the ones Nick showed until Nick proves otherwise.
