But Trump can spend millions of dollars in taxpayer money on playing golf and accepting a $400M "Air Palace" that will take at least $1 billion to retro-fit to make it Air Force One. Then, after all that expense it will be decommissioned as Air Force One to be endowed to Trump's "Presidential library." I put that in quotes because I'm not sure it will ever be built. No state will purposefully decrease its primary source of revenue for the median's sake. And there are many, many levers that can be subtly pulled without the vast majority of the populace noticing and offsetting many times over that amount, while riching the ruling class. Given this is the second term, you can just look at the previous changes and see who they benefited the most.

Serial killers and mass shooters are statistical outliers and don't even make up 2% of US homicides. Most homicides are simple one-and-done-acts-of-passion or gang related, and are usually intra-racial.

But all this kinda is beside the point - the US murder rate is hitting multi-decade lows (probably due to the last generation who grew up on leaded gasoline now being too old to consistently carry out murder). Homicides just aren't as common as people think they are.
