This could be considered a proto-YTP in audio form. It's from 1984. It's a mashup of Elvis Presley's 1960 hit "Soldier Boy", where they've taken the lyrics "tell me why", looped it, and added a whole string of different effects to it to distort it: shifting the audio to the left channel, shifting the audio to the right channel, adding reverb, reversing it, speeding it up, slowing it down, layering copies of the audio on top of each other, and more. The distortion continues for 11 minutes and gets pretty chaotic.

The music video to We Die Young by Alice in Chains (released in 1990 and directed by Rocky Schenck, who went on to direct several more videos for AiC, as well as being responsible for the art direction on several of their albums) has effects reminiscent of Sony Vegas and its plugins, even if it is mostly just random effect switching.

Man, what a crazy thread to go through. I made youtube poops a good ~16 years ago and I inevitably made my way to the YCP forums for a time. There were a few shitpost threads I had fun posting in, but man there was so much elitism on the site. I didn't even go to the parts that actually discussed ytps because of how stuck up people were against newbies just trying to learn how to make them.

I also always hated how everyone had a "post counter" next to them at all times. All it did was inflate the egos of people who were constantly on the site, since everyone would orbit them for having higher post counts. It ended up creating a few edgy cool kids who exclusively ruined any discussion they joined, but their e-peen was big so nobody had a problem with it.

I only stuck around for a couple years before moving on ( I made my account in 2008 ), so all of the stuff in this thread is completely new to me. Sucks to recognize a few usernames from back then and learn what happened to them. Fuckin' Bya.

Still, their TF2 server around that time was great. It's probably the best memory I have of YCP and it wasn't even the forums.

The Team Fortress 2 server was indeed lots of fun. It was also fascinating in the sense that the majority of people who were server regulars had no relation to Youchew, nor they had interest in joining the forums (YCP's reputation has always been dogshit, regardless of what the revisionists say). Predictably, that led to the "kool kid" spazticks in the forums (basically every unlikable retard documented in this thread) ranting and raving nonstop about that fact, because apparently only people in their death cult can have fun or something. They also kept doing this years after the server got shuttered.

On an otherwise unassuming Sunday night, I decided to do some searching on YouTube in an attempt to find the answer to the following question: "What was the first ever YTP to be uploaded to YouTube?" Not much exists in terms of documentation of where the name "YouTube Poop" came from, or who started using it. Obviously the myth that SuperYoshi started everything is commonly parroted on YCP, but I wanted tangible proof.

I had just recently found out that you can search for specific sets of YouTube videos by dates by entering "before:20XX" into the search bar, and so I did. "YouTube Poop before:2007" What I found will surprise you.

The earliest recorded use of the term "YouTube Poop" in a YT video goes to a WWF YTP uploaded by ubervenom in November of 2006:

ChaosX92 would follow suit, who uploaded Super Mario World and CD-i poops in December of 2006 and into 2007.

This Zelda CD-i remix originates from Something Awful, and is the first instance of someone recontextualizing Gwonam's use of the word, "Come."

Other uses of the word "Poop" came up, but only in regards to unrelated anime AMVs.

At the same time, hispanic YouTuber juasjuas23 was uploading "YouTube Poops" of his own in November of 2006, only they were more inline with fandubs or what would later become DBZ Abridged, rather than being like YTP.

Special mention goes to a Poop of the Steve Ballmer Windows 1.0 commercial, as it is very 2006. The video was uploaded to YT in May 2006, a month after SuperYoshi's first upload to the site.

The only video I could find from 2005, the first surviving video to use YTP-style editing on YouTube was a FFVII Advent Children Poop entitled Advent Children: Cloud's Dream (Humor).

Keep in mind: This does not account for any videos or channels that have been deleted or removed from YouTube in the years since. Though, the fact that what is essentially a YTP from 2005 is still surviving is nothing short of a miracle, and pretty telling for the YCP loyalists.

If the damage control seems familiar, it's because YouChew jannies would do these same kind of bad-faith mental gymnastics all the time, in particular after the "Oz crisis" came and went.

Speaking of forum activity, a user known as Hitori got the boot for being under the age of 13. Kind of strange that it took this long for tranny jannies to catch onto that, since Hitori was the 3rd most active user in YellowTrannyPiss in terms of posting, and his post history makes the underage part rather obvious. Furthermore, the jannies saw it to fit to include "concerning and inappropriate offsite behavior" as part of the ban reason.
