That's why I went out of my way to viciously attack them when the thread was created. What they do is a form of "concern trolling". Concern trolling is a very effective way to demoralize a group of people. Having "allies" show worry and concern makes people feel worried or concerned too; consensus is part of assessing optimism and success.

Concern trolling works so well because it seems indistinguishable from real concerns by actual allies. One way to deal with it is to mock their feigned concern (e.g. "Bad things might happen! Ignore anything good ever happening! Bad person did something good—still bad! Small good thing done—bad, didn't fix the whole problem!"). You can run down the flowchart of possible futures; which often reveals they think a positive outcome is impossible. You can ask them for realistic solutions and fallback plans. You can just bluntly tell them they are being a whiny faggot (depending on the group and context).

Concern trolling is one of the main ways 4chan has been destroyed by shills and bots. Endless infighting about how nothing will ever get better. 4chan's culture of being contrarian makes concern trolling easier. The site owner faciliting the concern trolling dooms 4chan to being a demoralization tarpit.

Authentic negative criticism has remedies, alternatives, fallbacks, and personal preferences. Concern trolls avoid seeing anything positive like a vampire avoids a cross.
Fucking incredible post, i've noticed this as well and couldn't put it into words like this. Especially the part about 4chan. I saw that vibe shift happen, particularly related to any threads surrounding china, and it was so uncanny but took me a while to figure out what was going on.

It's also really bad on youtube. So many people "concerend" that the US is ruining it's soft power, europeans and canadians who feel SO betrayed, in this very thread you have buckbroken chimp doing this.

So I pick up the phone and what do all of my real life canadian and euro friends have to say about all this horrible tariff and nato betrayal? Absolutely fucking nothing. Most of them don't even know it's going on, at all. What do my brother's coworkers in germany think? Not a damn thing. The worst response I got was "it will make my flight a bit more expensive".

It's such a joke.

Edit: On 4chan despite seeing hints of it here and there for years, the main giveaway was when the narrative turned on a dime from "Trump can't win" "They won't let him win" "yeah it would be great if he won but he just won't" to "HES ACTUALLY BAD FOR THE USA" "MIGA MGIA MIGA" "FELL FOR IT AGAIN". Absolutely useless website.

It's honestly another way they try to abuse our empathy. If it isn't "10 pictures that will make you say fuck having laws and borders and sheeit" it's "I'm concerned that Trump will deport citizens next".

Bottom line is nobody gets to tell us what to be concerned about, that's for us to figure out for ourselves. Concern trolls will always find the fly in the ointment, but all they want to do is get more people to reeee about the fly, even if it's smaller than a gnat.

That’s why I was so pissed off yesterday! I checked the thread and it was all blackout doom mode. It was a Sunday so it couldn’t even be the stock market setting people off

It’s like you look away for a second and check back and the tone has entirely shifted

Why is it that every time I hear a story about "wrongful deportation", it's always someone in the country illegally?
Because weasely faggots would rather let a gang member go free on a technicality than protect the rule of law and the citizens of the US because they allowed their empathy to be used against them

But here in America, yeah, if you have excess death chemicals around, the standard practice for some is to run an evaporator to condense them before shipping them off in drums. Stuff like MEK, you just ship it off in steel drums
I tardrage so much whenever I think about all the bullshit I have to go through when I'm dealing with lead paint because the final step is "throw it in the same trash bags you throw everything else in then set it on the side of the road and the trash guys will carry it off like any other trash. Just, like, put some tape around the opening when you tie up the bag so none of it leaks out I guess"

We can't all be on at once or as dedicated to no lifing social media as some of the usual suspects who bitch and cry. It's a busy time of year, and there's lots of work to be done.
I mean it’s weird, though. Like maybe it’s a human trait for not a lot of people to really stick to their guns, but it’s like someone cracks consensus and then the whole shit slides and drags some regular posters down. If it wasn’t that, it would look like a couple obvious retards getting called retards

A new poll from "Trust Me Bro" industries just dropped, with an unknown error rate or margin or error or even a damn sample size,

Best part of it is that its poor creator and I guess allegedly the people involved in the survey as well as the denizens of reddit have all conflated or confused manufacturing to factory work, sure there is lots of manufacturing jobs that happen in warehouse and foundrys but how about logging, how about raw goods like beryllium and cobalt that require high tech, complicated machinery in very out of the way places to source? How about just things like shipbuilding or finished good transportation, all of this is under the umbrella of "manufacturing domestically".
If 25% of the US population moved into manufacturing, that would be insane.

Fatpacks aka Burger suit dude is 100% just a left winger pretending to be a 'fellow chud' just to try and demoralize the thread

Eh I disagree. The times I've noticed it I was late night scrolling and the usual black pillers both here and off site I've encountered are euros. I'm sure some of them are fine people but a lot seem buck broken or just hate the US because they always have or sour grapes.

All in all I'm very optimistic and glad Trump is pushing for manufacturing and more work returning to the US. I can see the seeds were planted for some ahead of time, and looking at him and his admin before he even got elected this was very clearly the plan.

Because the left considers "no human to be illegal." They are demoralized and literally cannot conceptualize the idea of borders and that people can be here illegally, and that's a valid reason to yeet them.
